The event took place on the evening of November 22 to mark the 20th anniversary of the AEON 1% scholarship program, with the participation of former students who received the scholarship.
This is not a single activity but part of a series of programs to nurture the young generation that AEON Vietnam persistently implements – through three comprehensive approaches: equipping knowledge, providing opportunities for practical experience and removing financial barriers.

The AEON 1% Scholarship Award Ceremony took place on November 22, marking AEON Vietnam's 20-year journey of accompanying the young generation in a series of programs to nurture the young generation.
AEON Vietnam's Strategy for Nurturing the Young Generation
Nurturing the young generation is a goal under the Social Sustainability pillar in AEON Vietnam's Sustainable Development policy. Identifying the young generation as the force that creates the future and the decisive factor for the sustainable development of society, AEON Vietnam strives to create long-term positive impacts by nurturing the young generation today.
First of all, AEON Vietnam focuses on equipping the young generation with basic knowledge. This is the first step for each child to form awareness about the environment, the community and the role of each individual. Through AEON Cheers Club activities; “Youth Ambassador” program, “Asian Young Leader” program…, AEON Vietnam creates a space for students to interact, explore and develop their thinking, helping them “know the right thing” so they can “act right” in the future.
Specifically, to realize the provision of basic knowledge and develop action thinking, AEON Vietnam organized the English Speaking Contest in 2025 with the theme "Initiatives for clean water issues in the area where you live and in scarce, remote and isolated areas in Vietnam" . This event is not only an academic playground but also raises the sense of responsibility of the young generation towards clean water resources and environmental challenges.
Along with providing knowledge, AEON Vietnam focuses on creating opportunities for practical experience so that students can have early exposure to the business environment and community projects.
By providing direct internship opportunities at business locations in the AEON Vietnam system through Vocational Scholarships, or organizing a real learning environment right in the supermarket through the AEON Cheers Club project, AEON helps children observe, interact and practice skills in real contexts. These experiences not only broaden their perspectives but also equip them with confidence, adaptability and essential skills for their future journey of adulthood.
In addition, AEON Vietnam pays special attention to ensuring that financial support is given to the right subjects, in order to allocate resources to students in need. AEON implements scholarship programs for 2 groups of subjects: Vocational school students and University students. Specifically, AEON Vietnam offers a scholarship program for vocational school students to help students orient their career development early.
At the same time, university students with excellent academic performance but facing financial difficulties will be selected to receive this scholarship. Financial support and spiritual encouragement have helped them access education , expand their learning opportunities and develop more comprehensively. This is an important step to nurture a confident and capable young generation.
In 15 years of accompanying the young generation, AEON has created an environment for students to learn, experience and grow. By 2025, the AEON Cheers Club program was expanded to three regions and the number of participating students tripled in just two years.

In 2025, AEON Vietnam deployed the AEON Cheers Club program to three regions, recording a three-fold increase in numbers after only two years.
At the regional level, from 2011 to 2025, the Asian Youth Leaders (AYL) program has created opportunities for 202 Vietnamese students and 643 students from many Asian countries to meet, discuss, hone teamwork skills, analyze information, present, and practice critical thinking, contributing to building a potential young leadership community in the region. At the same time, capacity development playgrounds such as Youth Ambassadors and English Speaking Competition have helped more than 100 Vietnamese students practice communication skills, critical thinking, and cultural connection.

AEON Vietnam continues to implement programs such as Asian Youth Leaders (AYL) and English Speech Contest to help Vietnamese students practice language skills, critical thinking and cultural connection.
Regarding financial support, AEON Vietnam has awarded 15 scholarships worth 180 million VND to vocational school students. In addition, the AEON 1% Club Foundation has awarded more than 1,500 scholarships worth nearly 740,000 USD, equivalent to 19.5 billion VND, calculated on the exchange rate (1 USD = 26,403 VND) as of November 25, 2025 according to the exchange rate at Vietcombank for university students with difficult circumstances but excellent academic achievements - contributing to removing financial barriers and expanding fair development opportunities for the young generation.
AEON’s three strategic approaches – Knowledge – Experience – Finance complement each other on the journey of nurturing the young generation: helping to form a young generation with knowledge, skills and opportunities to develop comprehensively to become responsible citizens. AEON is committed to continuing to accompany the young generation with a long-term, inclusive and sustainable strategy, to create positive impacts for the community and contribute to the bright future of Vietnam.
