Amorim’s side have endured a difficult time, failing to win a Premier League game in the past two months. The last time United picked up three points in the league was at the end of February.
Speaking ahead of the Chelsea game, coach Amorim said: "I have an idea of the starting lineup for the Chelsea game and will consider it for the Tottenham game afterwards. How we play against Chelsea will be very important for the next game."
Asked if the players who played well against Chelsea have a chance of facing Tottenham in the Europa League final, Amorim replied: “Yes, it is clear. The Chelsea game will be a big part of the next game, so we need to perform well. They will have time to recover for the Tottenham game. We cannot go eight or nine days without playing or training. That is not good for the final."
Amorim does not want a repeat of last season, when Erik ten Hag was United's coach. Former captain Wayne Rooney has criticised some of his United players for playing away and underperforming in matches to save energy for the FA Cup final.
Unlike MU, Chelsea compete for every point to finish the season in the top 5, thereby earning a ticket to the Champions League next season. "The Blues" are currently ranked 5th, equal on points with the team behind Aston Villa but with a better goal difference.
