In the first quarter of 2025, An Giang exported 32,000 tons of rice, equivalent to 16 million USD, down 68% in output and nearly 73% in turnover compared to the same period; reaching 25% of the scenario in the first quarter of 2025 (65 million USD). The province's enterprises have exported rice to 60 different markets around the world .

The Department of Industry and Trade forecasts that rice exports will face great competition in 2025, as India returns to the market and leads the world. However, An Giang rice still has the potential to consume strongly in the high-quality rice segment, potentially reaching 320 million USD. Large enterprises, such as Loc Troi Group Joint Stock Company, An Vi Import-Export Joint Stock Company, Vinh Phat Wilmar Rice Company Limited... set a plan to increase export value by over 10% in 2025.
