"Self-reflection, self-correction" goes into depth

Over the past years, the Provincial Party Committee has identified Party building as a regular and key task. In the current context, when the need for a streamlined and effective State apparatus has become more urgent than ever, An Giang has focused on promoting this task with many synchronous and drastic solutions. One of the highlights is the extensive implementation of the Central Committee's resolutions and directives on Party building and rectification. In particular, the province has paid special attention to thoroughly grasping and implementing the Resolutions of the 4th Central Committee, terms XII and XIII, on Party building and rectification in conjunction with Directive 05/CT-TW of the Politburo on promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle. Especially implementing the topic "An Giang studies and follows the example of Uncle Ho and Uncle Ton in caring for people's lives".

The Provincial Party Standing Committee has issued many specific action plans and programs that are in line with the local situation. Political and ideological education has been strengthened, helping cadres and party members raise their awareness of Marxism-Leninism, Ho Chi Minh's thought, the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's policies and laws. At the same time, attention has been paid to Party inspection, supervision, and discipline, resolutely fighting against corruption, negativity, and waste, focusing on sensitive areas that are prone to negativity, contributing to strengthening people's trust in the Party.

The quality of self-criticism and criticism has been improved, becoming an important channel for each cadre and party member to self-evaluate and make appropriate adjustments. Party member Nguyen Van Loi (residing in My Phuoc ward, Long Xuyen city) shared: “I clearly see the change in the Party building work in the locality. Party cell and party committee meetings are increasingly more substantive, frankly pointing out the existing problems and limitations. This helps each party member raise their sense of responsibility, voluntarily practice and cultivate ethics and lifestyle; collectively overcome limitations in carrying out local political tasks”.

Streamline the organization, improve operational efficiency

In parallel with the work of building the Party in terms of ideology, politics and ethics, An Giang is also vigorously implementing the arrangement and consolidation of the organizational apparatus towards streamlining, effective and efficient operations. This is a difficult and complicated task, requiring high determination from the entire political system. In recent times, the Provincial Party Committee has shown initiative and creativity in concretizing the Central Committee's policies, especially Resolution 18-NQ/TW of the 12th Party Central Committee on "Some issues on continuing to innovate and arrange the organizational apparatus of the political system to streamline, effective and efficient operations".

The Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee issued many specific action plans and programs, focusing on key tasks. The work of disseminating and educating political and ideological knowledge was promoted, helping cadres and party members deeply understand the significance and importance of streamlining the apparatus in conjunction with improving the quality of cadres and party members. The work of reviewing and perfecting the apparatus at all levels was carried out in a systematic and scientific manner. The Provincial Party Committee directed departments, branches, sectors and localities to review functions, tasks and organizational structures, boldly merge and dissolve overlapping and ineffective units. This process was carried out publicly and transparently. Inspection and supervision work was strengthened, focusing on the implementation of the Party's resolutions and directives on Party building and rectification and the work of streamlining and streamlining the apparatus.

The efforts of the Provincial Party Committee show high political determination, concrete and practical steps, creating an important premise for sustainable development in the future. A clean, strong, effective and efficient Party and government apparatus will be a great driving force for the province to exploit its potential and advantages, attract investment, improve living standards, be worthy of the people's trust, and meet the development requirements of the province in the new period. The determination in Party building and streamlining the organizational apparatus is an urgent requirement and an opportunity for An Giang to create a new momentum and rise strongly on the development map of the whole country.

In the second quarter of 2025, Party committees and organizations at all levels will continue to lead and direct the strict implementation of the Conclusion of the 4th Central Conference (13th tenure) on strengthening Party building and rectification in conjunction with promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle and Uncle Ton's moral example. Implement the policy of streamlining the organizational apparatus, arranging administrative units, organizing local governments at 2 levels; Party Congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Congress of the Party.
