Designer Thach Linh said that she has cherished this collection for a long time, expressing her feelings and gratitude to the beloved leader of the nation, considering it a spiritual gift on Uncle Ho's birthday, May 19.
The collection includes lotus motif designs, vibrant colors, innovative and youthful styles but still discreet and ensuring traditional customs and solemnity.
With the main materials being high-quality silk, Korean silk, silk, organza, the ao dai is more luxurious, individual but still soft and graceful.
After completing the collection, designer Thach Linh brought 16 designs to Uncle Ho's hometown Sen village to take photos. Among them, there were 2 special ao dai with a length of 20 meters performed by 8-year-old child models Nha Uyen and Nguyen Vu Ha Anh.
The designer said that the shirt worn by child model Nha Uyen symbolizes the love of young people for Uncle Ho. The motifs on the shirt are pictures of Uncle Ho with children drawn by the children themselves.
The design was performed by Top 6 Miss International Queen Vietnam Nguyen Vu Ha Anh with the front panel depicting lotus flowers from Uncle Ho's hometown, the 20-meter long back panel depicting the places where Uncle Ho used to work.
Designer Thach Linh said that she and her team had a very meaningful experience when visiting and taking special Ao Dai photos in Uncle Ho's homeland during the historic days of May. She also revealed that Lotus - Offering Him is a collection under the Vietnam Promotion 2023 project to spread the image of Ao Dai.
