The Ho Chi Minh City Film Festival (HIFF) was first held as part of the strategy to develop Ho Chi Minh City’s culture and cinema. Over a week, the event aimed to honor revolutionary Vietnamese cinema, while discovering and nurturing young talents at home and abroad. On this occasion, HIFF also opened up opportunities for domestic cinema professionals to exchange and learn from each other through seminars.
