Captain Tran Thi Ngoc Anh - an officer of the People's Public Security Communications Department, the founder and organizer of the volunteer group "Connecting Love Hanoi" - said: Previously, the group has done many programs in difficult mountainous provinces, remote areas such as Lao Cai, Lai Chau ... But this is the first time the group has come to a school that not only has difficulties in facilities, learning equipment but also has difficulties in lighting like Khuoi Man school.
Understanding the difficulties of children in the highlands, wanting to help them have light to study, help teachers and people to have a more convenient life, thereby encouraging them to overcome difficult circumstances to be more steadfast, strive to study well, help them have more opportunities to get closer to their dreams in the future, the group "Connecting Love Hanoi" has called for support and sponsorship from benefactors to install a Solar Power System.
With a solar power system with a storage capacity of 5.12 KWH, it will generate solar power for the school and students, enough to maintain stability 24/7 for important equipment such as lights, ceiling fans, televisions, and refrigerators.
Comrade Hoang Van Son, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Bang Thanh commune, spoke.
"Looking at the eager eyes of children, the joyful and surprised shouts when counting down from 10 to 1, then bursting into applause when the first light was turned on, we were moved to tears. It was not just the light of electricity - but the light of knowledge, of the future, of the belief that "life can be different" if children in places like this are shared, helped, their dreams can shine if love guides them", Captain Tran Thi Ngoc Anh shared.
The Light for Children program in Pac Nam is not only a simple activity of donating facilities, but also a program that brings light - both literally and figuratively - to children in the highlands who lack both material and educational opportunities. It is a journey of spreading warm smiles from countless kind hearts, an emotional and meaningful journey. The program also conveys the message: Just a little love, a little care, a little sharing - is enough to light up a whole land, move small souls, and nurture far-reaching dreams. When the light is lit from the heart, it will never go out.
This is also a practical activity of the volunteer group "Connecting Love Hanoi" as well as accompanying units to coordinate in celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day. Through that, it contributes to widely promoting and spreading the beautiful image of women in general and women in the People's Public Security force in particular in humanitarian charity work.
