They are blind people who always turn towards the sun so that the flower of extraordinary willpower can shine. fragrant. And that flower is none other than the young couple Nguyen Cong Minh and Dong Thi Hai Yen.

Minh, a talented young man who graduated from Ho Chi Minh City University of Education with a major in social work, has a warm heart and a desire to help people. Yen, an excellent former student majoring in psychology at Fulbright University Vietnam, possesses a sharp mind and a deep understanding. Two people, two majors that seem different, have an unusually good coordination. It was fate that brought them together to become soul mates, studying, developing and contributing together. Both have gone through years full of thorny challenges. Born with visual impairments, their educational path was also more bumpy than that of their peers. Instead of surrendering to fate, they chose to face and overcome all barriers.

With their strong will to strive, the boy and girl found the light of their lives, becoming a torch to help the blind confidently integrate into the community, as in the spirit of To Huu's poem: "Living is to give, not just to receive for oneself."

MY Blind Spa, the sweet fruit of the entrepreneurial journey

Going back in time to the beginning of November 2021, when Vietnam was in a period of strong transformation after the fourth outbreak of Covid-19, the spa market faced many difficult problems. Although the Government issued Decree 128 with many policies to support economic recovery, many Large spa systems are still hesitant and worried about business efficiency. In this challenging context, Minh and Yen are extremely worried when they realize that many blind acupressure therapists have to face every day. with countless physical and mental risks when working in an environment that is both unsafe and unprofessional.

After a long process of careful preparation in all aspects, the young couple decided to turn their long-cherished dream into reality by founding MY Spa for the Blind with the motto: "The light is not in the eyes but in your smile and satisfaction".

It is your dedication and professionalism that has affirmed that MY is not only a place to provide health care services reputation but also a place that creates stable jobs to help blind people find joy and live by their own labor.

Community project spreading love

After the success of MY spa, the couple continued to engage in community activities. In the near future, they will provide a specialized guide service, helping the visually impaired confidently navigate public places such as hospitals, supermarkets or schools. Another unique idea is to bring the "role-playing blind" experience service to school students, helping them understand and share more with the disadvantaged.

With a thirst for knowledge, Yen and Minh plan to continue their education. One will pursue a master’s degree in social entrepreneurship, while the other is aiming for a doctorate in disability psychology. Their long-term goals are to expand their spa, provide massage therapy services to businesses, and carry out community projects that they have been nurturing and pursue their dream of studying abroad.

Light from the heart lights up faith

The journey of Nguyen Cong Minh and Dong Thi Hai Yen is the most vivid proof: true light is not necessarily the supreme privilege of sight but also lies in willpower and compassion.
