The event is considered a strategic environment for building business relationships, connecting links in the production chain - from farmers, suppliers, processors, wholesalers, distributors to the retail system. According to the organizers, in 2025, the Exhibition will attract more than 4,000 professional attendees, more than 100 brands exhibiting on an area of 7,500 m², and organize more than 40 hours of specialized seminars - showing the increasingly expanding scale of the event. Another highlight is the exhibition area of technology and solutions for the processing industry: businesses introduce storage systems, logistics, traceability, packaging, labeling and modern processing equipment such as fillet cutters, portioning, weighing and automation systems. A representative of Vinh Hoan Company assessed that Brazil is currently in the top 3 largest pangasius import markets in the world, after China and the United States, and is also a market with a high level of price competition. In 2025, the pangasius market in Brazil continues to grow strongly, with export value in the first 8 months of the year increasing by about 35% compared to the same period in 2024. Brazil is also a key market in the LATAM region, accounting for about 65% of output and 75% of pangasius import value of the entire region, so with the orientation of developing high-standard product segments, Vinh Hoan is focusing on pursuing good quality segments and meeting market requirements according to MAPA (Brazilian Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock) standards, while expanding into priority customer groups with high standards and long-term stability.

The Latin American market is estimated to have an average seafood consumption per capita of about 10.5 kg/year and is expected to increase to 15 kg/person/year by 2030 thanks to the trend of shifting to healthy and sustainable protein sources. In particular, Vietnamese pangasius is considered a potential substitute for Tilapia thanks to its competitive price and white meat quality that suits consumers' taste. In the context of this region diversifying import sources, reducing dependence on traditional markets, Vietnamese seafood products have great potential thanks to stable quality, competitive price and high traceability.

Within the framework of the Exhibition, the Vietnam Trade Office in Brazil, concurrently in charge of Peru, Bolivia, Suriname, and Guyana, attended the regular meeting of the Brazilian Association for the Promotion of Fish and Seafood (ABRAPES) and presented an introduction to the Vietnamese seafood industry as well as opportunities and potential for cooperation between the two sides in the coming time. ABRAPES is an organization established in 2016 with the goal of promoting and developing fish consumption in Brazil, including importers, exporters, distributors, trading companies and retailers. At the meeting, Brazilian importers and distributors were pleased to announce that they have started to bring Vietnamese tilapia fillet products back to the Brazilian market after the import suspension was lifted last April. The first containers will be sent from Vietnam in late October and early November to be available in Brazilian distribution systems starting from January 2026. At the same time, Brazilian importers expressed interest in Vietnamese shrimp products, especially black tiger shrimp, and hoped that the two governments would soon achieve new progress in the negotiation process to open the Brazilian market to Vietnamese products.
According to Ms. Pham Hong Trang, Vietnam Trade Counselor in Brazil, participating in the Seafood Show Latin America 2025 will not only help Vietnamese enterprises open the door to the Brazilian market but also contribute to raising the position of Vietnamese seafood in the Latin American region, thereby directly approaching importers, supermarkets, restaurant chains and retailers in Brazil as well as the region, while enhancing the brand image in the international market. With professional preparation such as adjusting packaging and labels according to Portuguese/Spanish standards, introducing products suitable to tastes to building a communication strategy and post-exhibition plan and long-term strategy, this will be a significant step forward in the journey to diversify Vietnam's export markets.
