NDO - On July 24, at the Government Headquarters, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh chaired the Government's special meeting on law making in July 2024 to review, comment and approve 5 important contents: 2 proposals to build Laws: State of Emergency; Science and Technology (amended); 2 draft Laws: Law on Electricity (amended); Law on Employment (amended); 1 Project on investment policy for high-speed railway on the North-South axis.

Also attending the meeting were Deputy Prime Ministers , members of the Government, leaders of ministries, branches and agencies under the Government.

The Prime Minister asked delegates to focus their intelligence, continue the spirit of innovation; present reports and opinions concisely, clearly, and directly to the point; focus on discussing important issues, and seek the Government's opinion on different opinions.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh gave his direction at the meeting. The Prime Minister reiterated the request for ministers and heads of ministerial-level agencies to directly lead and direct the work of institution building; regularly review and consider difficulties and problems arising in practice, new issues, and issues requiring legal regulations.

Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Tan Cuong, Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, Deputy Minister of National Defense presented the Proposal to develop a Law on State of Emergency.
