On the evening of March 22nd, the "Brothers Overcoming Thousands of Obstacles" concert was held in Thu Duc City (Ho Chi Minh City), attracting approximately 40,000 attendees. This was the third concert in a series that began in October 2024, and also the first time the concert brought together all 33 talented artists.
During the four-hour concert, the talented artists treated the audience to a series of beloved performances from the show. Beginning spectacularly with the song " Fire Song, " the artists thanked the audience for filling the venues every night, always giving their all, and supporting the concert from North to South.
People's Artist Tu Long shared: "Thank you everyone for coming because you love us, and for staying because you care about us. The motto of this concert is to blow the roof off, fly through the air, and blow the heavens and earth away."
Actor Tien Luat said that last year, when filming the show, they only had a few hundred audience members cheering them on in the studio. Now, the "talents" are welcomed by tens of thousands of fans, taking them from the small studio to the big stage. "Our dream has come true. The passion of the fans present at the concert is a great source of motivation for the artists," Tien Luat said.
The highlight of the "Brother Overcoming a Thousand Obstacles" concert was its celebration of traditional cultural values. Songs like "Rain on Hue Street," "Mother Loves Her Child," "Peach and Willow," and "Sailing with the Flowing Water" received enthusiastic support from fans thanks to the elaborate stage design, the touching message of spreading national culture, and the impressive live performances.
In particular, the performance of "Trong Com" (Rice Drum ) by People's Artist Tu Long, SOOBIN, and Cuong Seven brought the audience to life with a vibrant and powerful new arrangement, while still retaining the distinctive characteristics of Bac Ninh Quan Ho folk music in the original version.
During the concert, representatives from the Guinness World Records organization also announced that the program had set a Guinness World Record for "The event with the largest number of participants wearing traditional Vietnamese costumes" with over 5,000 spectators.
MC Anh Tuan invited the audience to wear traditional Vietnamese costumes and join the artists on stage to sing along in the performance of "One Round Around Vietnam" to celebrate the program's newly established record.
Earlier in the morning, thousands of spectators, dressed in traditional ethnic costumes and modernized ao dai (Vietnamese traditional dress), participated in photo opportunities and interactive activities.
Record statistics are determined according to criteria such as: Spectators lining up to pass through facial scanning cameras, spectators must gather in the area designated by the organizers, and must not change clothing during the time waiting for the referee to announce the results...
Several games and interactive segments interspersed throughout the program added a humorous atmosphere to the concert.
During the "blindfold bag-tearing" segment, an audience member asked People's Artist Tu Long why he wasn't wearing new costumes like the other "brothers." In response, the artist jokingly said: "I like to maintain my original identity; I sing the same way I did when I first started. The others, on the other hand, deliberately wear flashy clothes. Old but valuable is much better."
Many older, more talented artists enthusiastically performed dance routines, receiving cheers from fans. Meanwhile, young singers like SOOBIN and Kay Trần continuously thrilled the audience with their seductive dance moves and shirtless displays of their muscles.
Fans commented that the third concert of "Brother Who Overcame a Thousand Obstacles" was captivating and high-quality, from the sound and lighting to the musical performances. Compared to the second concert in Hung Yen in December 2024, this time the show largely addressed the shortcomings in sound and filming.
However, at times, the program also had flaws, such as the content displayed on the big screen not matching the artists' performances. Audience members suggested that the organizers should arrange the entrances to the check-in areas and the auditorium gates more logically.
At the end of the show, the artists thanked the thousands of fans who came to watch the concert and stayed until the very last minute. Many of the "talented" artists hugged each other, their eyes welling up with tears as they waved goodbye to their fans.
SOOBIN shared: "Holding hands with the audience, seeing so many uncles, aunts, and older siblings, standing and sharing the same heartbeat with the young people even though the program went on until late at night, I almost cried at that moment. I love the program, I love the cheers of everyone."
I didn't think there would be a show that would bring different generations together to enjoy the musical atmosphere. Thank you for coming, see you tomorrow!"
The "Brothers Overcoming Thousands of Obstacles" concert was organized following the success of the reality TV show of the same name, featuring 33 male celebrities aged 30 and above who are active in the entertainment industry.
Late last year, the show's first two concerts, held in Ho Chi Minh City and Hung Yen, created a sensation among audiences. Returning after three months, concerts 3 and 4 of "Brother Overcoming a Thousand Thorns" took place in Thu Duc City (Ho Chi Minh City) on March 22nd and 23rd.
