Notably, this change is being made to comply with the European Union's Digital Markets Act. Apple also recently announced that it plans to make more changes for iPhone users in the EU. One of the big changes is that developers will be able to offer apps on their websites for direct download.

New music recognition tool

Apple Music and Apple Music Classical get new music recognition engines, enable Siri to announce messages in supported languages, and add information about iPhone battery health.

The company also fixed an issue where contact photos remained blank in Find My iPhone. For dual SIM users, when their phone number changed from primary to secondary, it was still visible to groups where they shared messages.

Also in this update, Apple has fixed some bugs related to AirTag, making the device easier to find.

Step 1: Go to Settings > General, then tap Software Update.

Step 2: If you see multiple software update options, select the one you want to install.

Step 3: Tap Install Now. If you see Download and Install instead, tap that to download the update, enter your passcode, then tap Install Now.
