Vinfast launches small cargo vehicle, priced from 285 million VND

In order to strongly promote the green transformation, creating big and practical changes for transportation and the environment, VinFast officially launched the EC Van small cargo truck - the first electric vehicle to join the cargo truck segment in Vietnam.

VinFast EC Van (abbreviation of E-City Van - urban electric truck) has a compact design, with dimensions of Length x Width x Height of 3,767 x 1,680 x 1,790 (mm), wheelbase of 2,520 mm, suitable for all spaces and road conditions from urban to rural areas. The vehicle has a 2-seat cockpit design and a rear luggage compartment with a cargo capacity of up to 2,600L, and a payload of over 600 kg.

The car is equipped with an electric motor with a maximum capacity of 30kW, maximum torque of 110Nm, maximum speed of 75km/h. The available battery capacity of 17kWh allows the car to travel a distance of 150km after each full charge. The car supports DC fast charging up to 19.4kW, with charging time from 10% to 70% battery within 42 minutes. Customers can also buy a 3kW portable charger to charge the car overnight at home.

To ensure safety, VinFast EC Van is equipped with front disc brakes, rear drum brakes and technologies such as anti-lock braking system (ABS), electronic brake force distribution (EBD), traction control (TCS), emergency brake hazard lights (ESS)...

VinFast EC Van is priced at VND285 million (including battery), with a 5-year or 130,000 km genuine warranty for the vehicle, and a 7-year or 160,000 km warranty for the battery (whichever comes first). In addition to the standard version, VinFast will also offer customers an optional equipment package worth VND20 million to upgrade some additional amenities according to their needs.

VinFast will launch an early deposit program for the EC Van model from 8:00 a.m. on May 25 to May 30, 2025 at authorized dealers nationwide and through the Xanh SM partner system. Customers who deposit to buy a car during this period will receive a discount of 10 million VND, deducted directly from the car price.

It is expected that the first VinFast EC Vans will be delivered to customers from November 2025. In parallel with distributing vehicles to partners, Xanh SM will also provide delivery services using EC Vans in the near future.

EC Van is a new step in VinFast's green transport strategy, following the Green line of vehicles specializing in service business and the electric bus line serving public passenger transport. In particular, VinFast's development of vehicle lines serving livelihoods such as Green optimized for passenger transport and EC Van optimized for cargo transport, in addition to a range of personal vehicles spanning all segments, has affirmed the vision of "everyone has a green car" of the Vietnamese electric vehicle brand, thereby helping each citizen to directly contribute to the country's overall emission reduction goal./.
