Art Talk about the life and career of famous painter Nguyen Sang

(LĐ online) - On July 29, at the Vietnam Museum of Fine Arts (66 Nguyen Thai Hoc Street, Ba Dinh District, Hanoi ), the Vietnam Museum of Fine Arts and the Vietnam Fine Arts Association organized an art talk (Art Talk) about the life and career of the famous painter Nguyen Sang, one of the four people who made up the second famous "quartet" of Vietnamese Fine Arts: Sang (1923 - 1988), Phai (1920 - 1988), Lien (1924 - 1988), Nghiem (1918 - 2016), besides the first "quartet": Tri (1908 - 1993), Van (1908 - 1954), Lan (1906 - 1946), Can (1910 - 1994), to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the famous painter's birth.

Nguyen Sang was born in 1923, in Dieu Hoa village, My Tho province, now My Tho city, Tien Giang province. In 1938, he passed the entrance exam to the Indochina College of Fine Arts. In August 1945, Nguyen Sang joined the revolution in Hanoi. At the end of December 1946, he went to the Viet Bac resistance zone, using his brush to serve the nation's resistance. With sincere love, Nguyen Sang created many valuable works of art.

At the art talk, artist Luong Xuan Doan, Chairman of the Vietnam Fine Arts Association, and artist Dang Thi Khue - those who directly talked and exchanged with the famous painter Nguyen Sang, told touching stories about the famous painter Nguyen Sang.
