Ms. Nguyen Thi Mai Huong was appointed Editor-in-Chief of Knowledge and Life Newspaper.

This afternoon (December 1), the Standing Committee of the Central Council of the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations (VUSTA) announced and presented Decision No. 1101/QD-LHHVN on the appointment of Ms. Nguyen Thi Mai Huong, Deputy Editor-in-Chief, to hold the position of Editor-in-Chief of Knowledge and Life Newspaper, for a term of 5 years.

Mrs. Nguyen Thi Mai Huong was appointed as editor-in-chief of the magazine — Associate Professor, Dr. Pham Ngoc Linh, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Vice President of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations, presented Decision No. 1101/QD-LHHVN appointing Ms. Nguyen Thi Mai Huong to hold the position of Editor-in-Chief of Knowledge and Life Newspaper.

Associate Professor, Dr. Pham Ngoc Linh, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Vice President of the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations, congratulated Ms. Nguyen Thi Mai Huong and the Knowledge and Life Newspaper for perfecting the agency's leadership, gradually stabilizing and developing. Associate Professor, Dr. Pham Ngoc Linh also emphasized: "This is the joy and honor of comrade Nguyen Thi Mai Huong personally; at the same time, it places a higher responsibility on her when becoming the Editor-in-Chief of the only press agency of the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations - perfecting, building and developing the newspaper in accordance with the principles and purposes of being the mouthpiece of the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations, the Voice of the scientific and technological intellectuals of the whole country".

The Vice President of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations hopes that, with this new responsibility, Ms. Nguyen Thi Mai Huong will continue to promote her political qualities, build and lead the collective of cadres, reporters and journalists of the Knowledge and Life Newspaper to become a united and unified collective; strive to fully implement the newspaper's tasks to be worthy of the trust of readers, as well as the entrustment of the Party Committee and the Presidium of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations.

In her acceptance speech, Ms. Nguyen Thi Mai Huong respectfully thanked the leaders of the Party Committee and the Presidium; the leaders of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations and the Party Cell, and the collective of the Newspaper for their trust and confidence in appointing her to the position of Editor-in-Chief of the Knowledge and Life Newspaper. "This is a great honor for me and also a heavy responsibility before the Party Committee, the Presidium of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations and the Party Cell, the collective of cadres, employees, and journalists of the Knowledge and Life Newspaper" - the new Editor-in-Chief of the Knowledge and Life Newspaper said.

“Personally, I hope to continue to receive the leadership, direction and assistance of the Party leaders and the Presidium, the leaders of the Central Agency of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations, the units and organizations under my management; the attention of the Press Steering Agency and the State Management of the Press; the support and consensus of the Party Committee, the Editorial Board and the collective Government of the Newspaper to have orientations and plans to develop the Editorial Office effectively, stably, unitedly and strongly... ” - New Editor-in-Chief Nguyen Thi Mai Huong expressed.

In her new position, Ms. Nguyen Thi Mai Huong promises to respectfully learn and inherit the achievements and valuable experiences of previous leaders; vows to devote all her abilities, intelligence and enthusiasm, join forces and unite with the Party Committee, Editorial Board and the Newspaper's collective to strictly follow the leadership and direction of the Party Committee and the Presidium of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations.

She hopes that in her new position, the collective will have many innovations and innovations with specific and effective plans in the management, operation and organization of press publishing activities; aiming to build the Knowledge and Life Newspaper into a true mouthpiece of the Vietnam Union of Associations; the Voice of the scientific and technological intellectuals; and have a profound reputation in the Vietnamese Revolutionary Press system.
