Comrade Vu Quyet Tien was elected to the position of Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee.

On March 28, the Executive Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, 15th term, held its 66th meeting to conduct the election and consolidation of the position of Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, 15th term, 2020-2025. Comrade Vu Dai Thang, Member of the Central Committee of the Party and Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, chaired the meeting.

In accordance with Document No. 14015-CV/VPTW dated March 27, 2025, from the Central Party Office, which conveyed the directive of the Central Party Secretariat, agreeing to nominate Comrade Vu Quyet Tien, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Secretary of the Ha Long City Party Committee, to be elected as Deputy Secretary of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term, the Provincial Party Standing Committee presented to the Provincial Party Committee for consideration and election Comrade Vu Quyet Tien to the position of Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, 15th term, 2020-2025, as stipulated.

In strong agreement with the Provincial Party Standing Committee's proposal, the Provincial Party Committee proceeded to vote for Comrade Vu Quyet Tien to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee. As a result, Comrade Vu Quyet Tien was elected to the position of Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term with an absolute majority of votes (44/44 votes).

Previously, following the personnel procedures at key official meetings, the Provincial Party Committee and the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, in a democratic, objective, transparent, and rigorous manner, ensured that Comrade Vu Quyet Tien, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of the Ha Long City Party Committee, received 100% of the votes of confidence to be nominated for the position of Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.

Presenting flowers and congratulating Comrade Vu Quyet Tien, Provincial Party Secretary Vu Dai Thang affirmed that the absolute majority of votes demonstrated the high level of unity and consensus among the Standing Committee, the Provincial Party Committee, and the key officials of the province. He also expressed his hope that Comrade Vu Quyet Tien, in his new position, will continue to demonstrate his qualities and intellect, working together with the Standing Committee and the Provincial Party Committee to successfully complete assigned tasks and contribute to the overall development of the province.

On behalf of the Provincial Party Committee, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee presented flowers to congratulate Comrade Vu Quyet Tien, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee.

Also at the conference, the Provincial Party Committee discussed and approved the plan for rearranging commune-level administrative units. The opinions were generally in agreement with the plan submitted to the Provincial Party Committee by the Standing Committee; at the same time, they analyzed and clarified the potential and advantages for development of the commune-level administrative units after the rearrangement.

The Provincial Party Secretary emphasized: The plan to abolish district-level administrative units and merge commune-level administrative units in Quang Ninh province was developed systematically and scientifically based on input from various sectors and localities. The Provincial Party Standing Committee also thoroughly discussed and provided feedback on this matter.

The comrade instructed the advisory agencies to incorporate feedback and finalize the plan for submission to the Central Committee. During implementation, the Provincial Steering Committee must carefully consider and weigh the natural, socio -economic conditions, historical traditions, and cultural aspects during the research and refinement of the plan… Attention should be paid to criteria and standards, and the naming of communes and the location of headquarters must closely adhere to the Central Committee's directives.

The relevant agencies are tasked with researching and developing criteria and standards for commune-level officials to serve as a basis for arranging and assigning officials after the merger of commune-level administrative units, ensuring the development of a team of officials with sufficient capacity, qualities, and prestige to meet the requirements of their duties.
