Ba Ria-Vung Tau proactively resolves difficulties in solar power projects

That was the report of Mr. Nguyen Cong Vinh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee at the direct and online meeting on removing difficulties and obstacles for renewable energy projects chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh on the afternoon of April 15.

Accordingly, Ba Ria-Vung Tau province has provided full data for the calculation and completion of the Project to adjust the Power Plan VIII. There are currently 7 solar power projects in operation in the area, which have been proposed for consideration and updating in the Plan and Implementation Plan for the Power Plan VIII. All of these projects have been accepted by competent authorities in accordance with regulations.

The province has also completed the statistics of 132 rooftop solar power projects/systems built on agricultural and forestry land in the form of farms with a capacity of 100 kWp or more. Currently, the authority to handle these projects is implemented by the Provincial People's Committee, therefore, the province is guiding organizations and individuals to carry out procedures in accordance with regulations, so there are currently no problems and the province will fully report to the Ministry of Industry and Trade as soon as possible according to regulations.

Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh commended Ba Ria-Vung Tau and several other localities for proactively and focusing on removing difficulties and obstacles for renewable energy projects with synchronous and effective solutions so that the projects can continue to be deployed and put into operation.

In the coming time, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh requested ministries, functional branches and localities to continue reviewing difficulties and obstacles for renewable energy projects to remove them for businesses, especially those related to construction procedures, licensing; planning work; land use conversion; preferential price (FIT)... Difficulties and obstacles of any level, ministry, branch or locality must be considered, handled and removed by the units. There must be no situation of "kicking the ball up, kicking the ball down".
