Bac Ha launches planting of yellow passion fruit within the framework of the 2025 poverty reduction project

On November 19, the Bac Ha Regional Agricultural Service Center held a launching ceremony for planting yellow passion fruit trees under the "Project for Developing Yellow Passion Fruit Production in Bac Ha Commune" in the National Target Program for Sustainable Poverty Reduction by 2025.

In 2025, Bac Ha commune will implement a project to plant 39.12 hectares of yellow passion fruit with 27 households belonging to the Yellow Passion Fruit Production Community Group.

For passion fruit trees to grow well, households commit to strictly following the technical procedures for planting, caring, trellising, fertilising, pest control and harvesting as instructed. The commune's departments, branches and unions strengthen propaganda, mobilize and support people in the production process, regularly inspect, monitor and promptly resolve difficulties. Associated businesses and professional agencies continue to accompany and support with seeds, materials, techniques and product consumption.

The project was approved by the People's Committee of Bac Ha commune in Decision 329 dated October 31, 2025, aiming to expand the golden passion fruit growing model, create sustainable livelihoods for people in the highlands, promote agricultural production, increase income for people in Bac Ha, and at the same time create a premise to replicate the golden passion fruit model in the following years.
