Through screening, Bac Me district has nearly 400 meritorious, poor and near-poor households eligible for support under the Government's Program to Eliminate Temporary and Dilapidated Houses. With high political determination, Bac Me district strives to complete the program in May 2025 to practically achieve achievements to celebrate the 135th anniversary of Uncle Ho's birthday. The Steering Committee for Eliminating Temporary and Dilapidated Houses in communes and towns in the district has mobilized maximum local resources of forces and people, and mobilized organizations and individuals in the area to contribute more construction materials to help poor households eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses.
With proactive, creative and grassroots approaches, Bac Me district has made strong strides in recent times, focusing directly on the grassroots, motivating people to overcome difficulties, settle down and stabilize their lives. Currently, communes in the district are determined to focus all their efforts on the grassroots to help people eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses. Deputy Secretary of Lac Nong Commune Youth Union, Nen Thi Hue, confided: “Immediately after the Steering Committee for Eliminating Temporary and Dilapidated Houses of the district and commune thoroughly implemented the plan to review and list households that need to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses. The force of commune Youth Union cadres and youth union members in the area were regularly present at 59 households that were subject to temporary house elimination, helping households transport materials and build houses”.

In Yen Phu town, although it is a locality in the center of the district, the rate of poor and near-poor households in the area of temporary and dilapidated houses is still quite high. With high determination, up to now, nearly 40 households have had their temporary houses removed. Vice Chairman of Yen Phu town People's Committee, Hoang Thong Chieu said: "Promoting and spreading the tradition of "mutual love and support" to join hands to successfully implement the goal of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in the district. With the motto "whoever has something to contribute, whoever has merit contributes merit, whoever has property contributes property and whoever has a lot contributes a lot, whoever has little contributes little; each person, each organization and individual promotes their full capacity, enthusiasm and responsibility to join hands to help people soon stabilize their lives, rise up in labor, production, and escape poverty in a sustainable way".
With the mobilization and drastic participation of the entire political system, focusing on directing cadres, civil servants, militia forces, police, and socio-political organizations to participate in building houses for people with a competitive spirit and the highest determination. Along with strengthening the direction, inspection, and close supervision of the implementation progress and quality of housing construction according to regulations. The district has mobilized over 740 million VND in social resources; households have contributed 5,629 million VND; forces and people have supported over 21,000 working days... Up to now, the whole district has started construction on 382/382 houses, reaching 100% of the plan. Of which, 330 households have built new houses and 51 households have repaired them. This will be a practical achievement of the Party Committee, government, and people of Bac Me district to celebrate the birthday of beloved Uncle Ho.
