Bac Ninh supports milk for preschool children and primary school students

GD&TĐ - From the 2025-2026 school year, each nursery child will be allowed to drink 5 boxes of 110ml milk/week, and preschool children and primary school students will be allowed to drink 5 boxes of 180ml milk/week.

The People's Council of Bac Ninh province has just issued Resolution No. 31/2025 on regulations on milk support in educational institutions with preschool children and primary school students in the province for the period 2025 - 2030.

According to the resolution, beneficiaries include preschool children, primary school students studying at educational institutions in Bac Ninh province (public and non-public) and cadres, teachers and staff in public educational institutions participating in organizing and managing milk support activities.

Each nursery child is entitled to drink 5 boxes of 110ml milk/week; each kindergarten child and primary school student is entitled to drink 5 boxes of 180ml milk/week. The support period is 9 months/school year, applied from the 2025-2026 school year to the end of the 2029-2030 school year.

The funding source for implementation includes the Bac Ninh provincial budget ensuring 50% of the milk, parents contributing 25% and milk suppliers supporting 25%. Children under the policy (poor households, near-poor households, children of war invalids and martyrs, disabled children, orphans...) are supported 75% by the Bac Ninh provincial budget and parents do not have to contribute.

In addition, the Bac Ninh provincial budget supports public educational institutions to pay for cadres, teachers, and employees participating in organizing, managing, and implementing milk support activities: Public educational institutions with a scale of less than 10 groups and classes receive support of 2 million VND/facility/month; those with a scale of 10-19 groups and classes receive support of 2.5 million VND/facility/month; those with a scale of 20 groups and classes or more receive support of 3 million VND/facility/month.

Support period is 9 months of actual study/school year and until the end of the 2029 - 2030 school year. Supported milk products must meet national technical standards and legal regulations, used from 180 - 220 days/school year.

The Resolution takes effect from August 11, 2025 to December 31, 2030, replacing Resolution No. 05/2020 on the "School Milk" Program for the period 2020 - 2025. The People's Committee of Bac Ninh province is assigned the responsibility of guiding and organizing the implementation to ensure compliance with regulations.
