Along with the State's poverty reduction policy system, Hung Yen province has promoted the combined strength of the entire political system and the positive response of the whole society to help achieve the goal of reducing the poverty rate quickly and effectively.
* Accompanying women and poor farmers
Years ago, the family of Ms. La Thi Thu Hien, in Quang Chau commune ( Hung Yen city) was considered a poor household. The life of Ms. Hien's family was already difficult and became even more difficult when her husband suffered from heart and kidney failure; her eldest daughter suffered from a mental illness; her second son was in 11th grade but was also small, weak, and shy; and her youngest child was only 8 years old. The family had 5 people, but all of them relied on Ms. Hien's labor with more than 2 sao of rice fields and daily labor.

Sharing that difficult situation, Quang Chau commune created conditions for Ms. Hien to join the waste collection team to earn more income and receive support to buy a health insurance card. In 2024, the Provincial Women's Union coordinated with the Provincial Military Command to give Ms. Hien's family a breeding cow and mobilized resources to help her renovate the barn. In 2025, her family continued to receive support to build a house under the Temporary and Dilapidated House Elimination Program. Receiving support from many sides, Ms. Hien emotionally expressed: I am very happy and grateful for the attention of the Party committees, authorities, and organizations at all levels who have helped my family with practical gifts. With a new, spacious house and a fairly stable job, I will try to work hard to take care of my husband and raise my children to adulthood.
Ms. Hien is one of thousands of women members and farmers in the province who have been supported to "settle down", "find a job", and improve their quality of life thanks to the support of authorities at all levels, the Vietnam Fatherland Front and mass organizations.
Ms. Le Thi Hien, Vice President of the Provincial Women's Union, said: Determined not to leave any poor women and children behind, in recent years, the Women's Union at all levels in the province... coordinated to organize vocational training for over 6,700 members; propagated and mobilized female business owners and production establishments to create jobs for over 6,500 female members with an income of 5 - 7 million VND/month. At the same time, coordinated with credit institutions to lend capital at preferential interest rates to over 52.1 thousand members to develop production and business with outstanding debt up to this point of over 4,000 billion VND; the Standing Committee of the Provincial Women's Union, districts, towns and cities provided livelihood support to 584 poor and near-poor female members, women in difficult circumstances and women with disabilities in terms of plants, seeds, animal feed, fertilizers; connected to implement the Godmother Program with 1,071 orphans in difficult circumstances being helped. Up to now, the Association has maintained sponsorship and connected sponsorship for 890 children with support ranging from 500 thousand to 1 million VND/child/month.

Implementing Directive No. 05-CT/TW dated June 23, 2021 of the Secretariat on strengthening the Party's leadership in sustainable poverty reduction by 2030, according to Mr. Nguyen Bat Khanh, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Party committees, authorities, the Fatherland Front and mass organizations are constantly spreading the spirit of solidarity, mutual love, promoting internal strength as well as the rise out of poverty, building a prosperous life for people and the community. From 2021 to present, the "For the Poor" Fund at all levels in the province has mobilized nearly 165 billion dong
From the fund, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee at all levels consulted with the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and the Mobilization Committee for the construction of the "For the Poor" Fund at all levels, drawing from the Fund to, together with the provincial and local budgets, give gifts to 100% of poor households in the whole province on the occasion of the Lunar New Year with a total amount of over 30 billion VND; support over 1,500 poor households to build and repair houses with a total amount of over 87 billion VND; support medical examination and treatment, unexpected risks, support poor households to develop production,... Many enterprises, organizations and individuals also directly give gifts to poor, near-poor households, households in difficult circumstances; support the construction of "Great Solidarity" houses, support medical examination and treatment, unexpected accidents, risks,...
In addition to supporting the "For the Poor" Fund, many organizations, businesses and individuals have actively responded to the movement by providing support "by address". Ms. Pham Thi Phuong Hoa, General Director of Hung Yen Garment Corporation - Joint Stock Company said: Not only maintaining stable jobs and income for employees, every year, the enterprise also sponsors 197 orphans and children in especially difficult circumstances with a total amount of 394 million VND. From 2021 to present, the enterprise has supported the province's "For the Poor" Fund with hundreds of millions of VND; sponsored 60 orphans in Hung Yen city and Tien Lu district with a support level of 2 million VND/child/year...
Many individuals actively participated in the movement such as: businesswoman Nguyen Thi Dong, General Director of Hoa Lan Joint Stock Company (Van Giang) and the company provided monthly subsidies to dozens of poor households, families with revolutionary contributions and sponsored dozens of orphans and children in difficult circumstances in the province; veteran Luyen Van Viet, Ban Yen Nhan ward (My Hao town) gave scholarships to 25 poor students, with the amount of 500,000 VND/child/month; Ms. Hoang Thi Nguyet, Trung Nghia commune (Hung Yen city) gave scholarships to 6 poor students, the amount of 1,200,000 VND/child/month.
Not leaving anyone behind, in 2025, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee at all levels in the province allocated 7.6 billion VND from the "For the Poor" Fund to give 18,025 gifts to poor households, near-poor households, households in difficult circumstances, and vulnerable people; allocated 13.8 billion VND from the provincial "For the Poor" Fund to, together with the provincial budget, implement the program "Eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses" launched by the Prime Minister and the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front...
The forms of support from the "For the Poor" Fund are increasingly diverse, prioritizing support appropriate to actual difficulties associated with multidimensional poverty criteria, focusing on supporting poor households in housing and livelihoods. The Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee at all levels regularly inspects the management, mobilization and use of the "For the Poor" Fund, ensuring that support for the poor is public, transparent, for the right purpose and for the right subjects.
