According to comrade Dao Dang Duc, Commander of the Military Command of Doi Can Ward, from the beginning of the year, the Military Command of the Ward proactively advised the Ward Party Committee to issue a resolution on leading local defense and military work; develop a scientific and rigorous plan for Party work and political work. On that basis, the Military Command of the Ward has implemented tasks and aspects of local defense and military work in line with the requirements and actual situation.

2025 is the year of many important events for the country in general and Hanoi in particular, therefore, the task of the militia force in participating in maintaining political security, order and social safety also requires more and higher. Therefore, the Ward Military Command has built and maintained a strict combat readiness regime, increased during holidays and Tet, when important events of the country and the capital take place; grasp the situation, coordinate with the police force, civil defense to patrol, guard, and ensure the safety of the grassroots area.

In addition, the Ward Military Command also focuses on building, nurturing, and training a strong militia force, maintaining effective operations, and actively contributing to the results of implementing local defense and military tasks. The ward militia force is regularly strengthened with the correct structure and sufficient components according to regulations. Currently, the Standing Militia Squad of Doi Can Ward is a shock unit that carries out regular and ad hoc tasks in the area.

We visited the Standing Militia Squad of Doi Can Ward just when the unit was organizing a training session. The lines were neat, the uniforms were neat, the officers and soldiers were practicing very seriously according to the requirements of the commander. Comrade Truong Viet Khoi, Squad Leader of the Standing Militia Squad of Doi Can Ward said: "Every year, the unit always strictly implements the training plan, the officers and soldiers always thoroughly grasp the tasks, uphold responsibility, work with peace of mind, and strive for the best results".

Regarding the annual key task of selecting and calling citizens to join the army, the Military Command of Doi Can Ward always does a good job of advising and proposing to the local Party Committee and authorities to carry out the steps in accordance with regulations and procedures, achieving the best quality. The characteristic of Doi Can Ward is that there are many subjects exempted from or postponed from performing military service, causing difficulties in ensuring enough assigned targets. Therefore, the Military Service Council of the Ward has established working groups to directly visit each house and each street to grasp the ideology, educate and mobilize citizens of military service age. Along with propaganda and education, the Military Command of the Ward advises the Ward People's Committee to direct agencies, units and organizations to coordinate well in policy work for young people joining the army such as visiting, giving gifts, and giving savings books. Thanks to that, in recent years, Doi Can Ward has always fulfilled 100% of the military service targets, achieving good quality.

The above positive results are evidence of the efforts and correct advice of the Military Command of Doi Can Ward, contributing to helping Doi Can Ward become a bright spot of Ba Dinh District in implementing local defense and military work. Last year, the Military Command of Doi Can Ward was awarded the title of Determined to Win Unit by the Hanoi Capital Command.
