This is the second time the Vietnam Journalists Association has organized the Central Highlands Press Award to recognize, encourage, and reward journalists, reporters, editors, collaborators, resident reporters, and correspondents of press agencies in the Central Highlands region who have good quality press works published in 2024 about the Central Highlands.
Among nearly 200 entries, the Jury and Organizing Committee decided to select 80 entries for the final round, including 2 First Prizes, 4 Second Prizes, 6 Third Prizes and 10 Consolation Prizes for 4 journalism categories: Radio, Television, Print and Electronic Newspapers.

Specifically, the first prize in the print and electronic newspaper category went to the 4-part report "Keeping the deep roots of the Central Highlands" by the group of authors Le Thi Thu Huong, Le Quoc Thanh, Dinh Thi Thanh Nga (Dak Lak Newspaper); the first prize in the radio and television category was awarded to the MV "Thu Ca" and the young people who want to go far by the group of authors Nguyen Huu Hoa Giang, Tran Tran Bao Ngoc, Nguyen Thi Hai Ha, Nguyen Vo Tung Lam ( Gia Lai Radio and Television Station).

Mr. Phan Toan Thang - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Journalists Association, Chief of Office of the Vietnam Journalists Association, Head of the Organizing Committee of the award, commented: The 2nd Central Highlands Press Award was organized with many new features, suitable for the characteristics of the locality and the great changes in the region.
This year, the Organizing Committee received 180 entries in 4 types of journalism. Of these, 22 of the best entries were selected to be honored today. This year in particular, many entries closely followed prominent and specific current issues of the Central Highlands.

The works not only vividly reflect the economic, social and cultural life of the region, but also delve into important topics such as: Security and order protection, mass mobilization, and protection of the Party's ideological foundation. Some works boldly point out the difficulties and obstacles in local management and propose practical solutions.
In addition, this year's works also clearly demonstrate the strong transformation of journalism in the digital transformation process, with a modern, multimedia approach, bringing new and profound perspectives on the Central Highlands.

Speaking at the award ceremony, Comrade K'Mak - Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Council emphasized: The Central Highlands with its strategic position in terms of national defense and security; diverse cultural space and historical depth, is always a land of potential, rich in identity and full of inner strength.
In recent years, thanks to the leadership of the provincial Party Committees, the drastic management of the authorities at all levels in the region, especially with the consensus of the people of all ethnic groups, the Central Highlands has been transforming strongly in many fields, from economic development, new rural construction, high-tech agriculture, preserving ethnic culture to strengthening national defense, security and international integration.
