Attending were Vice President of Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province Dang Thi Phuong, Director of Vietnam Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development, Ben Tre Branch Phan Minh Chau.
According to the report of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of the province, the policy of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses for households with meritorious services, poor households, near-poor households, and households in difficult circumstances in the province has been resolutely implemented by the entire political system of the province. In particular, in 2025, the Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam, Ben Tre Branch, supported the construction of 70 solidarity houses for households with difficult housing conditions in Ben Tre province with a total support cost of 4 billion 200 million VND, with the support level for each house being 60 million VND.
Since the implementation, 70 houses have been basically completed; The houses are built with 3 floors, the largest house has an area of 70m2 and the smallest is 32m2. Each house after completion has a maximum value of 120 million VND and a minimum of 70 million, of which the Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam, Ben Tre Branch supports 60 million VND/house, the rest is mobilized by family, relatives, and local authorities to support.
Director of the Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam, Ben Tre Branch, Phan Minh Chau, said that in addition to carrying out business tasks, the unit is very interested in and always accompanies the locality in social security work. Every year, the Branch spends billions of VND from the budget allocated by Agribank, the budget from the branch's profits and employees' contributions from their salaries to carry out social security work, focusing on main activities such as: Building houses for policy beneficiaries, poor households; sponsoring ambulances; sponsoring teaching and learning equipment, sponsoring houses for households with housing difficulties... The total amount spent on social security work in the locality in the period of 2017 - 2024 is 56.4 billion VND, in the first 6 months of 2025 alone it is more than 5.7 billion VND.

On behalf of local leaders, Vice Chairman of Thanh Phu District People's Committee Truong Thanh Hai expressed his appreciation for the resource support of the Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam, Ben Tre Branch in particular, and sponsors in general in accompanying the locality in implementing social security work.
At the program, the Organizing Committee awarded the Decision to donate houses to 19 households of Thanh Phu district, with a total cost of 1,140 billion VND. The remaining households will be handed over directly to the local authorities.
On this occasion, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ben Tre province presented a plaque of gratitude to the Vietnam Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development, Ben Tre Branch, for its contribution to the province in implementing social security work and taking care of the poor.
On the same morning, the leaders of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of the province and delegates attended the handover ceremony of the Great Unity House to the household of Mr. Dao Minh Dung (61 years old), residing in Quy Khuong Hamlet, Quoi Dien Commune (Thanh Phu). This is one of 70 Great Unity Houses sponsored by the Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam, Ben Tre Branch.
