In front of the statue of Ma Sau Ngau, veterans of Regiment 27 living in Ho Chi Minh City and the provinces of the Southeast region solemnly observed a moment of silence, remembering the heroic martyrs - the country's outstanding sons who heroically sacrificed their youth and blood for the cause of national liberation and unification.

At the same time, express deep gratitude to Mrs. Sau Ngau, who gave the "Truth" map, redrawing the streets of Saigon with detailed routes, military posts, fire positions and enemy defenses that Mrs. Sau Ngau had marked during her infiltration trips to the area to the Regiment Commander and Political Commissar of Regiment 27. Thanks to Mrs. Sau Ngau's map, on the morning of April 30, 1975, officers and soldiers of Regiment 27 followed National Highway 13 to successively capture Lai Thieu district, surrounded, cut off and isolated nearly 2,000 enemy troops at Huynh Van Luong military camp and captured Vinh Binh bridge. Following the offensive, they captured the puppet armored command post, the army factory base in Go Vap, took over the general hospital of the Republic, then together with friendly units developed to capture the remaining targets.

The Association of Quang Tri Citadel Soldiers in 1972 in Ho Chi Minh City and the Southeast region presented flowers to celebrate the meeting.

On this occasion, delegates together reviewed the heroic history, the fierce years of resistance against the US to save the country of our army and people, culminating in the historic Ho Chi Minh Campaign.

The meeting is not only an opportunity to pay tribute to the fallen heroes and martyrs, but also to care, share and encourage the veterans in the Traditional Liaison Committee of Regiment 27 in Ho Chi Minh City, the Southeast region and families of policy beneficiaries. Looking to the future, with the sense of responsibility and affection of the living, the Liaison Committee continues to carry out well the activities of gratitude and repayment such as searching for and matching information about the remains of martyrs, confirming cases of lost records and documents when conditions permit.
