The Legal Committee of the Provincial People's Council reviews draft resolutions submitted to the 30th Session of the Provincial People's Council.

On the morning of April 27, the Legal Committee of the Provincial People's Council met to review draft resolutions submitted to the 30th Session (special session) of the 17th Provincial People's Council, term 2021 - 2026. Attending the meeting were comrade Nong Thanh Tung, member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; leaders of the Economic - Budget Committee, the Cultural - Social Committee of the Provincial People's Council and a number of related departments and branches.

The meeting reviewed draft resolutions on the policy of rearranging and reorganizing commune-level administrative units (CAUs) in the province; on the dismissal of members of the Cao Bang Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term.

Accordingly, the draft Resolution on the policy of rearranging and reorganizing commune-level administrative units will merge the existing 161 commune-level administrative units of 10 districts and cities (including 08 wards, 139 communes, 14 towns) with adjacent locations to establish 56 new commune-level administrative units. After the rearrangement, the province has 53 communes and 03 wards, reducing 105 commune-level administrative units.

After reviewing, the delegates basically agreed with the contents of the draft resolution. At the same time, they focused on discussing and clarifying some contents: the presentation of the resolution; the plan and roadmap for arranging and perfecting the organizational apparatus; arranging and organizing the team of cadres, civil servants, public employees, workers and non-professional workers at the commune level; resolving the regimes and policies when implementing the arrangement; the plan for using and handling public assets after the merger in accordance with the planning and actual conditions of the locality...

Concluding the meeting, the Head of the Legal Committee of the Provincial People's Council accepted the opinions of the delegates and agreed on the contents of the draft resolution review. At the same time, he requested the drafting agency to continue editing and supplementing the draft resolutions in accordance with the law and regulations to submit to the 30th Session (special topic), the 17th Provincial People's Council, term 2021 - 2026.
