The meeting aims to pay tribute and remember the contributions of generations of journalists through the ages, especially President Ho Chi Minh - the founder of Vietnam's revolutionary journalism - a great journalist - an outstanding revolutionary - a national liberation hero, a world cultural celebrity of Vietnam.

At the meeting, after Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung informed about the press situation in recent times, especially the activities to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day, which were rich, practical, meaningful, and left a deep impression..., General Director of the Voice of Vietnam Do Tien Sy affirmed that throughout its history of formation and development, under the leadership of the Party and management of the State, Vietnam revolutionary press has always served the Fatherland, served the people, for the interests of the nation, people and people; constantly growing, meeting the requirements of the Vietnamese revolution in each historical period; thanking and believing that it will continue to receive the attention, direction, and facilitation of the Government and Prime Minister in the new development period.

Veteran journalist Ha Dang, former Head of the Central Ideology and Culture Department, former Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, former Editor-in-Chief of Communist Magazine, reviewed his career; affirmed and believed that Vietnamese revolutionary journalism will continue to develop to meet the requirements of the Party, the Fatherland, and the people.

Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association Le Quoc Minh, on behalf of journalists, expressed gratitude to the Government and the Prime Minister for their direction and attention to the press over the past time, helping the press system to contribute to the development of the country; proposed that the Government and the Prime Minister continue to pay attention and direct ministries, branches and localities to increase press orders, support press agencies to develop technology infrastructure; support and allocate funds for training skills and technology for journalists...

Speaking at the meeting, sending best wishes to veteran journalists, leaders, former leaders of press agencies and Vietnamese journalists, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said that the current situation in the world and the region is changing rapidly, complicatedly, and unpredictably, requiring each country to adapt and adapt flexibly.

Domestically, we are actively and effectively implementing the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, in the context of many difficulties and challenges due to the impact of the world situation and epidemics, natural disasters... and have achieved many important and comprehensive results in all fields, especially in terms of growth targets; macroeconomic stability, inflation control, ensuring major balances of the economy; public debt, government debt, foreign debt, budget deficit under control...

According to the Prime Minister, despite many important and historic results, breakthroughs are needed to achieve the two 100-year goals. Therefore, the Central Executive Committee, the Politburo, and the Secretariat, headed by General Secretary To Lam, have set out the requirements to carry out strategic tasks and create breakthroughs so that Vietnam can keep up, move forward, and surpass them.

In particular, the whole country has been implementing a revolution in organizing and restructuring the political system and decentralizing, decentralizing, and organizing two-level local governments, in conjunction with implementing the Politburo's resolutions in the "Four Pillars" on science, technology, innovation, digital transformation; international integration in the new situation; building, perfecting institutions and enforcing laws; developing the private economy; and in the near future, the Politburo will issue a Resolution on modernization, breakthroughs in education and training development, and people's health care...

Reviewing the historical development process and important contributions of the Vietnamese revolutionary press throughout the struggle for national independence, construction and protection of the Fatherland, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh affirmed that the Government and the Prime Minister have always received the support, consensus, joint efforts and unanimity of press agencies and journalists. On behalf of the Government, the Prime Minister thanked and congratulated the press for its achievements, contributing to the overall achievements of the country.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh believes and hopes that the press and journalists nationwide will continue to promote their century-old tradition, bravery, "bright heart - pure heart - sharp pen", continue to contribute and bring to readers and listeners many quality journalistic works, reflecting the breath and pulse of life, contributing to building a humane, professional and modern Vietnamese revolutionary press; at the same time, he hopes that journalists and press agencies, with their experience and knowledge, will provide more information and analytical perspectives for policy making, appropriate, flexible, timely and effective policy responses; contribute more and more to the cause of building and defending the Fatherland, for a socialist Vietnam with a rich people, strong country, democracy, fairness and civilization.

The Prime Minister affirmed that the Government, based on its functions, tasks and powers, is committed to always accompanying the press and creating favorable conditions for press agencies and journalists. The Government and the Prime Minister always listen, share and create the most favorable conditions for the activities of press agencies and journalists in accordance with the guidelines, policies and laws of the Party and State and within the scope of the Government's powers.

Responding to the proposals of press agency leaders and journalists, in the spirit of 6 clarifications: Clear people, clear work, clear time, clear products, clear responsibilities, clear authority, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh requested the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to coordinate with the Vietnam Journalists Association and relevant ministries, branches and agencies to develop a Government Resolution related to placing orders with the press, meeting the requirements of press development.

The Journalists Association coordinates with the Ministry of Science and Technology and major technology corporations to develop plans and projects to build and ensure infrastructure and technology platforms for press agencies in the spirit of harmonizing the interests of the State, network operators and journalists. Press agencies work with the Ministry of Finance and relevant ministries and sectors to continue researching the budget for the press...
