The ceremony took place at the headquarters of the Vietnam Revolutionary Youth Association, 248-250 Van Minh Street, Dong Son District, Guangzhou City, a place associated with the revolutionary career of President Ho Chi Minh in Guangzhou, China (1924-1927).
Attending the ceremony were Party cell secretary, Consul General Nguyen Viet Dung and all party members of the Consulate General, trade and science and technology agencies, representatives of the Party cell of overseas students living and studying in Guangzhou and leaders of the Hoang Hoa Cuong Revolutionary Cemetery Relic Site.

In June 1925, leader Nguyen Ai Quoc founded the Vietnam Revolutionary Youth Association and had a broad voice among the masses. On June 21, 1925, Thanh Nien Newspaper - the mouthpiece of the Vietnam Revolutionary Youth Association was born, founded and directly directed by leader Nguyen Ai Quoc, who was also a key writer. This was the first revolutionary newspaper in the national language, the propaganda agency of the Vietnam Revolutionary Youth Association to educate, gather and unify the thoughts and actions of revolutionary soldiers and equip political knowledge for the cadres to mobilize the masses.
Through Thanh Nien Newspaper with articles written in a concise style, simple, clear and easy to understand words, the Vietnam Revolutionary Youth Association has unified the direction and content of propaganda and education inside and outside the association, contributing significantly to the dissemination of Marxism - Leninism in Vietnam, preparing politically, ideologically and organizationally to move towards the establishment of a new type of political party of the Vietnamese working class.

Speaking at the ceremony, Party cell secretary and Consul General Nguyen Viet Dung highly appreciated the great contributions of domestic and foreign press agencies to the cause of national construction and defense over the past century, as well as their valuable contributions to the development and continued deepening of the Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership, promoting the building of the Vietnam-China Community of Shared Future of strategic significance.
According to Party cell secretary and Consul General Nguyen Viet Dung, this year's ceremony has a very special meaning, being held on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations, a very special milestone in the relationship between the two countries and the Vietnam-China Year of Humanitarian Exchange. Domestic and foreign press agencies have done a good job of promoting and providing timely and diverse information about major events in bilateral relations.

A century has passed since the first issue of Thanh Nien Newspaper was published. Through each revolutionary period, the Vietnamese press has continuously grown and matured, making many important contributions to the cause of building and defending the Fatherland. With a team of journalists at home and abroad always holding high the revolutionary flag, expressing the will and aspirations of the Vietnamese people for independence, freedom and socialism.
Revolutionary press has become a sharp tool of the Party and State in propaganda, mobilization, and education work to unite the entire Party, people, and army, to join hands and overcome many difficulties and challenges, and to contribute to the revolutionary cause achieving great victories.
Previously, a delegation of Party members of the Consulate General Party Cell and representatives of the Overseas Students Party Cell in Guangzhou offered incense and flowers at the grave of martyr Pham Hong Thai at Hoang Hoa Cuong cemetery park on the occasion of the 101st anniversary of the martyr's death (June 19, 1925 - June 19, 2025).
