Before the exam, Thanh Hoa Power Company issued a document directing its affiliated Power Companies and High Voltage Grid Enterprises to strengthen inspection of power lines and transformer stations, handle points at risk of incidents, clear line corridors, replace substandard equipment and fix poor contact points to improve the reliability of power supply as well as arrange backup generators to respond to situations of force majeure causing power supply interruptions.

Mr. Hoang Hai - Director of PC Thanh Hoa said: The hot weather in the first days of June caused a sudden increase in electricity demand. On the evening of June 2, the power consumption in the whole North reached its peak at 17,900 MW - the highest level since the beginning of the year. In Thanh Hoa, at 10:30 p.m. the same day, the maximum power reached 1,597.5 MW. However, the Company still ensures sufficient power supply for national defense - security, socio- economic development and people's lives.
Power workers under PC Thanh Hoa are on standby generators arranged at the exam sites to ensure safe, stable and continuous power supply in case of force majeure on the power grid.
To serve the exam, the Company has closely coordinated with the Department of Education and Training, the examination councils, to grasp the specific list, time, location, and electricity demand at the examination sites and workplaces of the Steering Committee and the Examination Council. On that basis, the Company requires its affiliated units to strictly implement the command and incident duty regime, not to cut off power, arrange backup generators, and ensure 24/7 continuous power supply for important stages such as exam preparation, printing, and grading. In case of unexpected incidents, the units must promptly report and handle them immediately so as not to interrupt the exam process.
The electricity company works with customers to adjust production schedules appropriately to give electricity to exam sites during peak times.
With the forecast of potential difficulties in power supply due to the prolonged hot weather, PC Thanh Hoa proactively communicated on mass media to recommend saving electricity: turning off public lighting and billboards during peak hours, limiting the use of air conditioners below 26 degrees, and not using multiple electrical devices at the same time. At the same time, issuing regulations on saving electricity at headquarters, calling on officers and employees to set an example, spreading the spirit of saving electricity in the community.
The company has also worked directly with major customers in the area to implement a non-commercial electricity load adjustment (DR) program, encouraging businesses to adjust their production schedules appropriately to give electricity to exam locations during peak times.

In addition to the task of supplying electricity, Thanh Hoa PC also directed its affiliated units to coordinate with local authorities and organizations to implement the "Supporting exam season" activity, arranging staff, workers, and youth union members to support and guide candidates to exam locations, and provide drinking water... in harsh weather conditions.
Although the electricity supply plan for 2025 has been carefully prepared by the electricity industry, in the face of the extreme heat wave leading to a sudden increase in customers' electricity demand, PC Thanh Hoa calls for the cooperation and sharing of authorities at all levels, people and businesses in the province to join hands in using electricity economically, safely and effectively.
With a specific preparation plan, close direction and the highest sense of responsibility, Thanh Hoa Electricity Company has successfully completed the task of providing safe, stable and continuous power supply and spreading many meaningful activities, thereby contributing significantly to helping the 10th grade high school entrance exam for the 2025-2026 school year take place smoothly and favorably.
