Red alert for Ronaldo

Cristiano Ronaldo suffered another shock as Al Nassr were eliminated in the AFC Champions League semi-finals by the supposedly weaker opponent Kawasaki Frontale.

Ronaldo's future is uncertain, while Al Nassr risks missing out on European competition next season.

The Portuguese superstar left a deeply emotional impression as he slumped to the ground, clutching his head in despair. The former Manchester United striker was seen blaming himself for several seconds, revealing his helplessness in the face of the arduous journey since arriving in Saudi Arabia.

According to AS , while a contract extension with Al Nassr seemed close to completion, the setback in the AFC Champions League has left CR7's future uncertain.

Even more worrying, Al Nassr risks not qualifying for a continental competition next season.

Currently, the Saudi Pro League only has 3 slots for the AFC Champions League. If Al Ahli wins this season, they will secure a direct spot, leaving Saudi Arabia with only 2 slots for the top teams in the domestic league. Al Nassr is currently in 3rd place, trailing Al Hilal and Al Ittihad by 2 and 8 points respectively in the standings.

Even worse, if Al Qadisiyah wins the National Cup (playing the final against Al Ittihad on May 9th), the club will secure a spot in the AFC Champions League 2 (the second-tier Asian competition). In that case, Al Nassr will be completely absent from continental competition next season.

Since joining Al Nassr, Ronaldo has yet to win a single title. This series of failures has made the final chapter of CR7's career darker than ever.
