Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper presents national flag to fishermen of Tra Vinh province

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen To Binh, Deputy Secretary General of the Editorial Board of Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper, said that over the years, Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper has always had many meaningful activities and social work programs.

Among those activities, the program "Proud of the National Flag" launched by the Lao Dong Newspaper in 2019 (originally named "One million national flags with fishermen at sea") is a program with creative ideas, large scale and significance, causing a resonance nationwide. The program "Proud of the National Flag" was honored to have Mr. Truong Hoa Binh - former member of the Politburo, former Permanent Deputy Prime Minister of the Government - take on the position of Honorary Chairman.

From the original program "One million national flags with fishermen at sea", the program has expanded to include the following components: "Flags of the Fatherland on the border" and "Flag Road of the Fatherland".

Since December 2022, the new component "Strong frontline, strong rear" has also been deployed with the goal of continuing to support and encourage the spirit, combining propaganda of the Party and State's policies and guidelines to officers and soldiers on duty and people in all villages, border areas and islands, helping them feel secure in their work, improve their spiritual life and complete their assigned tasks.

At the ceremony, representatives of Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper, Tra Vinh Provincial Journalists Association, and Agribank in the Southern region presented fishermen from 5 coastal localities of Tra Vinh province, including Duyen Hai town, Duyen Hai district, Cau Ngang, Tra Cu, and Chau Thanh - 5,000 national flags from the component "Millions of national flags with fishermen at sea" of the program "Proud of the National Flag".

Thus, this is the third time that Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper has presented the national flag to fishermen of Tra Vinh province, twice in the My Long sea area.
