On the morning of April 15, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Gia Lai province coordinated with Nhan Dan Newspaper and Vietnam Oil and Gas Group to present three Great Solidarity houses to three families in Dak Bet village, Dak Troi commune, Mang Yang district.
At the ceremony, Mr. Siu Trung, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Gia Lai province, presented a symbolic plaque of three Great Solidarity houses worth 150 million VND (50,000,000 VND/household) to the families of Mr. and Mrs. Hlaih, Tuinh and Thut in Dak Bet village.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Siu Trung expressed his sincere thanks to the sponsors, who contributed to helping households have a place to live and stabilize their lives; at the same time, he requested the Fatherland Front and local mass organizations to continue to pay attention to the lives of the people, especially their livelihoods so that they can self-reliantly rise out of poverty sustainably.
Dak Bet village, Dak Troi commune is a revolutionary base village with a total of 228 households, mainly ethnic minorities. The people mainly live on farming; the main crops are rice and cassava. The three households of Mr. and Mrs. Hlaih, Tuinh and Thut are poor households with many people, damaged and dilapidated houses but cannot afford to rebuild.
Along with the capital of 50 million VND from the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group through Nhan Dan Newspaper , the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Mang Yang district supported each household with 10 million VND from the "For the Poor" fund. The households contributed more to complete the house, ensuring the criteria to serve basic living needs.
At the ceremony, after receiving the house, Mr. Tuinh, representing the three families receiving the house, expressed his gratitude to the sponsor and the attention of the authorities at all levels, and promised to work hard and strive to escape poverty.
Ms. Dinh Thi Minh Ha, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Mang Yang district, said that since the Prime Minister 's policy of joining hands to complete the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide by 2025, Mang Yang district has 659 houses, of which 508 were newly built and 131 were repaired.
The district established a Steering Committee, assigned 12 comrades in 12 communes and towns to monitor and urge, go to each house to grasp and understand the needs of the people. Up to now, the whole district has basically started construction, determined to complete in the shortest time. The cooperation from socialized capital has contributed practically to poverty reduction , gradually successfully implementing the new rural program, building a rich, beautiful and civilized locality.
