Ho Chi Minh City Women's Newspaper launches writing contest "My City"

The contest aims to honor economic , social and cultural achievements, works that change the face of the city, valuable cultural and historical heritages of the city and especially the simple but generous people, thereby arousing feelings, pride and desire to contribute to the development of Saigon - Ho Chi Minh City.

The writing contest "My City" was announced at a press conference on the morning of October 19.

The contest also aims to discover, set an example, promote and spread the humane and affectionate lifestyle of Ho Chi Minh City residents. At the same time, the contest also aims to introduce initiatives and suggestions from experts and residents that will contribute to the overall development of Ho Chi Minh City.

The contest lasts from October 19, 2023 to December 31, 2024, for all Vietnamese citizens living in Vietnam; Vietnamese compatriots living abroad; foreigners who love and are attached to Ho Chi Minh City.

Every week, the Organizing Committee of the contest will select quality entries to be published in the print and electronic newspapers Phu Nu TP HCM and will introduce the works in the "Good Books for the Weekend" section of HTV9 at 6am on Sunday morning and the "Sunday Literature and Arts" program at 10am on Sunday morning every week.

The Organizing Committee will award the authors (groups of authors) with the following prizes: Special Prize worth: 70 million VND, First Prize worth: 50 million VND, 2 Second Prizes worth: 40 million VND/prize, 3 Third Prizes worth: 30 million VND/prize, 10 Consolation Prizes worth: 10 million VND/prize, 1 Best Article Prize about Women in Ho Chi Minh City: 30 million VND/prize, 1 Best Article Prize for foreign authors, overseas Vietnamese living abroad: 30 million VND/prize, Monthly Prize: 10 million VND/prize. In addition, there will be impressive prizes voted by the Jury.
