Barcelona holds emergency meeting, Lamine Yamal continues to act controversially

(Dan Tri) - According to Diario Sport, Barcelona held an emergency meeting regarding the case of Lamine Yamal. However, the Spanish football prodigy continued to make controversial moves by unfollowing his senior Dani Carvajal.

Lamine Yamal was at the center of controversy after the Clasico. Real Madrid players ganged up to beat the young Barcelona striker after the match, creating a chaotic scene. Before that, Yamal shocked everyone by saying that Real Madrid “screamed and stole at the same time”.

According to Diario Sport, Barcelona is very concerned about Yamal's reckless statements that could affect the team. Immediately after the match, Barcelona held an urgent meeting with Yamal's representative, super agent Jorge Mendes.

The two sides have agreed to closely monitor the 2007-born player’s interviews and social media activities to prevent controversial statements. Diario Sport revealed: “The club hopes that Yamal will fully recover and start responding to criticism with his performance on the pitch, not on social media or the media.”

However, in the context of Barcelona trying to find ways to "put out the fire", Yamal had an argument. Accordingly, Yamal and his teammate Pedri unfollowed their senior Dani Carvajal on social networks. This caused more rifts within the Spanish team due to conflicts between two groups of players from Barcelona and Real Madrid.

Dani Carvajal was seen as the instigator when he said to Yamal: “You talk too much. Now continue talking” after the Clasico. Yamal then tried to rush at the veteran Real Madrid defender but was stopped by Edouardo Camavinga. Several players rushed in, Thibaut Courtois even pushed Yamal and pointed at his junior.

Midfielder Frenkie De Jong was annoyed with the way Carvajal treated Yamal: “I was sitting on the bench and saw many players rushing to each other. After the match, Real Madrid players suddenly rushed to Yamal. It was really too much. Carvajal could have talked to Yamal privately, instead of scolding him on the field. If he was Yamal's teammate (in the Spanish team), Carvajal should have talked to his junior in private.”
