Barcelona offer bonus for La Liga title

According to AS , President Joan Laporta confirmed that players will be rewarded for each title won in the 2024/25 season. The bonus amount is expected to be around 1 million euros/player for each title won.

This season, Barcelona have won the Spanish Super Cup and the Copa del Rey. However, the Copa del Rey bonus only applies if the team wins another title, which could be La Liga or the Champions League.

Having been eliminated from the Champions League, Barcelona only has the chance to win La Liga to activate the aforementioned bonus clause. This scenario is likely to happen when Barcelona only needs to beat Espanyol in the early morning of May 16 to officially win the domestic championship.

Barcelona have previously been reported to have paid out millions of euros in performance bonuses to players. In a 2019 report, Barcelona paid out more than 94 million euros in bonuses after winning La Liga and the Spanish Super Cup.

A year earlier, journalist Javier Miguel of Sport revealed details of Barcelona's star bonuses. He said: "The team's superstars like Lionel Messi and Neymar will receive bonuses of between €750,000 and €1 million if they win La Liga. Players like Gerard Pique, Andres Iniesta, Luis Suarez and Dani Alves will receive around €650,000. And from there, the bonuses will gradually decrease. Less used players will receive around €300,000."
