Arrested man holding gun and shooting randomly into people's house

On the afternoon of May 14, Ba Don Town Police, Quang Binh Province, announced that they had arrested Nguyen Duc Quy (40 years old, residing in Ba Don Town) for using a gun to shoot randomly into a house, causing panic in the residential area.

According to the police, on the afternoon of May 12, Mr. Phan Co Vich (residing in Minh Loi residential group, Quang Tho ward, Ba Don) was sitting in the living room using his phone when Quy drove his car to the gate, stopped it, and entered the house with a gun.

As soon as he entered the house, Quy continuously fired many shots into the ceiling, shouted loudly, and pointed the gun at Mr. Vich's head.

Hearing the gunshots, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Ly (70 years old) and Mr. Pham Xuan Vinh (73 years old), Mr. Vich's parents, ran down from the 2nd floor.

Mrs. Ly intervened, Quy continued to point the gun at her head, then Mr. Vinh came in and begged. After a short argument, Quy got in his car and left.

According to initial information, Mr. Vich's family had no conflict with Quy. However, Mr. Vich's wife, Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuc Hien, sold construction materials to Quy to build a house and Quy still owed more than 25 million VND. At the time of the incident, Ms. Hien was not at home.

On the night of May 12, the Investigation Agency of Ba Don Town Police detained Nguyen Duc Quy for further investigation and handling.
