Hanoi Radio and Television Station has just organized a cultural experience activity for 61 contestants of the Hanoi Singing Contest 2025 semi-final round on the Hanoi 5 Cua O cultural tourist train - The Hanoi Train.

On the Thang Long - Kinh Bac journey, contestants enjoyed Quan Ho, Ca Tru, Cheo, Xam singing... in a cultural and culinary space recreated on the train. The group stopped at Do Temple (Bac Ninh), where contestants learned about the Edict on the Transfer of Capital , experienced Dong Ho paintings, wrapped Phu The cakes and interacted with Quan Ho artists.

This is a companion activity before the final round of the Hanoi Singing Contest 2025 , scheduled to take place on December 9 at the Hoan Kiem Theater, to spread the image of a friendly, traditional Hanoi and to evoke the responsibility of preserving the heritage of the contestants.

Contestant Vu Tan Dat - son of singer Trong Tan - became the center of attention of the trip when he proved to be an active and humorous person. At the age of 20, Tan Dat possesses a handsome appearance, bright skin, a high nose bridge and a youthful, modern style.

Previously, in the semi-finals, Tan Dat also left his mark with the song Dakrong River, Spring Comes .

Tan Dat shared that he joined the program to gain experience for his future artistic career: "My father encouraged me when he saw me participating in this music playground. He said this is a quality competition, many young artists have become famous in Hanoi and across the country."

This year, the contest had nearly 700 registered contestants, selected 61 contestants for the semi-finals and currently has determined 27 contestants for the finals; the remaining 6 contestants voted by the audience will be announced on November 23. The contest recorded the participation of international contestants from Russia, Japan, Korea, China, Laos, Thailand, Mongolia and many contestants from the Central and Southern regions, showing the expansion of the scale to a national level.

This year’s final round is organized into four competition nights in the styles of chamber music, folk music, pop music and a ranking night. Each contestant will perform two songs, including one about Hanoi. The jury consists of 36 members, changing with each round to ensure objectivity.
