Arrested Deputy Head of Investment Department, Saigon Securities Joint Stock Company

On January 22, the Investigation Police Agency ( Ministry of Public Security ) issued a decision to prosecute the criminal case of Receiving bribes occurring at the General Petroleum Services Joint Stock Corporation and related units.

At the same time, the Investigation Police Agency prosecuted and arrested Nguyen Quy Thinh, Deputy Head of the Investment Department of Saigon Securities Joint Stock Company, Member of the Board of Directors of Petrosetco, for the crime of "Receiving bribes", as prescribed in Clause 4, Article 354 of the Penal Code 2015, amended and supplemented in 2017.

This is the result of an investigation by the Department of Investigation Police on Corruption, Economic Crimes , and Smuggling (Ministry of Public Security) to clarify signs of bribery occurring at the Petroleum General Services Joint Stock Corporation (Petrosetco) and related units.

After the Supreme People's Procuracy (Department 5) approved, the Investigation Police Agency (Ministry of Public Security) executed the above decisions and orders in accordance with the law.

Currently, the Investigation Police Agency (Ministry of Public Security) is continuing to thoroughly investigate, expand the case and apply legal measures to recover assets.
