A 19-month-old girl in Hue was bitten by a dog, causing severe injuries to her head and face.

On September 25, the Vaccination Service Department - Hue City Center for Disease Control (CDC) announced that it had just received a 19-month-old girl (residing in Huong Thuy Ward, Hue City) who was bitten by a dog with many complex wounds on her head, face and neck.

Earlier, on the afternoon of September 24, while playing in the street, the child was bitten by a neighbor's dog that had slipped off its leash. The victim was immediately taken to Hue Central Hospital by his family for emergency treatment.

Because the wound was quite severe and located in a dangerous area, the patient underwent surgery to debride, clean and suture the wound. After that, the child was transferred to the Hue City CDC to be injected with anti-rabies serum, rabies vaccine and was advised on a full vaccination regimen according to the instructions of the Ministry of Health .

The baby is still being monitored and treated at the hospital and is still psychologically frightened.

According to Hue City CDC, this is a serious dog bite case, causing damage to dangerous areas, greatly affecting health and life.
