Lawyer Nguyen Huu Tho Memorial Site (Ben Luc District) has become a familiar destination for many delegations from inside and outside the province.
The district currently has 10 historical relics, including 2 national relics and 8 provincial relics. When mentioning Ben Luc district, many people will surely remember lawyer Nguyen Huu Tho - an outstanding son of his hometown Long An . Lawyer Nguyen Huu Tho, alias Ba Nghia, was born on July 10, 1910 in a civil servant family in Long Phu village, Long Hung Ha commune, Trung Quan district, Cho Lon province, now Ben Luc district, Long An province.
He was a talented leader, an exemplary personality, always wholeheartedly serving the Fatherland and the People; absolutely loyal to the revolutionary cause of the Party. Admiring the heart of the steadfast and indomitable communist, in 2010, the province built a memorial site for Lawyer Nguyen Huu Tho in Ben Luc town, Ben Luc district.
The Memorial Site of Lawyer Nguyen Huu Tho, invested by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, started construction in 2010. This is a 10,000m2 renovation project and is divided into 3 main sightseeing areas: Memorial Temple, Gallery of Lawyer Nguyen Huu Tho's life and career, Nguyen Huu Tho Library - the largest library in Ben Luc district. In addition, the project also has items: Green park area, place to plant souvenir trees and other auxiliary items. The Memorial Site of Lawyer Nguyen Huu Tho was recognized as a national monument by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in 2015. Currently, the Memorial Site of Lawyer Nguyen Huu Tho has become a familiar destination for many tourists inside and outside the province.
Every year, on the 11th and 12th of the 9th lunar month, people from all over come to Xom Nghe to celebrate the death anniversary of Nguyen Trung Truc. Xom Nghe belongs to Binh Nhut village, Cuu Cu Ha commune, Cuu An district, Tan An prefecture, now belongs to Hamlet 1, Thanh Duc commune, Ben Luc district. Previously, this area was a small fishing village on the Vam Co Dong river, the birthplace of fishing hero Nguyen Trung Truc. In recent years, the scale of the death anniversary at the Xom Nghe relic site has been small, but the hearts of people from all over the world towards Nguyen have always been sincere and respectful.
In 1994, the Xom Nghe Relic Site was recognized by the Provincial People's Committee as a Provincial Historical Relic. After many years of preservation, exploitation and restoration, in the coming time, the Ben Luc District People's Committee will adjust and supplement the investment scale.
Tourists explore Nguyen Huu Tho Library. This is also the largest library in Ben Luc district.
Ba Vu Melaleuca Forest is one of 10 historical relics in the district. Ba Vu Melaleuca Forest used to be a large area belonging to 4 communes: Luong Hoa, An Thanh, Tan Buu, Tan Hoa. Ba Vu Melaleuca Forest historical relic is located in Hamlet 1, Tan Hoa commune today. Going back in history, Ba Vu Melaleuca Forest is located in a low-lying area, along the banks of Vam Co Dong, formerly belonging to Trung Quan, Cho Lon province, now belonging to Ben Luc district.
During the two resistance wars, Ba Vu Melaleuca Forest was a revolutionary base in the interconnected system of bases such as Vuon Thom, Ba Vu - Lang Le, Bau Co, famous in Long An. Comrades: Nguyen An Ninh, Chau Van Liem, Vo Cong Ton, Ho Van Long,... worked hard to build the Party base here.
The relic is a testament to the Party's wise and talented leadership. Today, Ba Vu Melaleuca Forest Historical Relic has a construction area of about 10,893m2 , recognized by the Provincial People's Committee as a provincial historical relic according to Decision No. 119/QD-UB, dated January 27, 1994.
According to the District People's Committee, realizing that tourism development based on exploiting the value of historical relics is a potential and strength, in recent times, the district has issued many plans and documents, actively implementing models to preserve and promote the value of relics in tourism development.

In 2023, the birth of the Digitalization model at relic sites is a concrete demonstration of the determination to bring tourism associated with traditional education closer to visitors. With just a smartphone with Internet connection and a QR code scanning application installed, visitors can quickly search for information about that "red address".
Currently, 10/10 historical relics in the district have been digitized. This is a model implemented by the District Youth Union in coordination with the District Department of Culture and Information. Along with applying 4.0 technology, the district also pays special attention to and promotes propaganda work in many forms.
Ben Luc District is about 30km from the center of Ho Chi Minh City and about 15km from Tan An City. With its potential and favorable location for tourism development associated with revolutionary tradition education, Ben Luc has become an attractive destination for tourists on their journey to visit the heroic land./.
