On the afternoon of September 26, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health held a signing ceremony for comprehensive cooperation and professional support between Military Hospital 175 and other city hospitals with Cu Chi Regional General Hospital for the period 2025 - 2028.

Opening the ceremony, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health Nguyen Anh Dung said that the Cu Chi Regional General Hospital was newly built by the City People's Committee with spacious infrastructure, modern medical equipment, and a scale of 1,000 beds.

The hospital is located at the northwest gateway of the city, bordering many communes of Tay Ninh province, so it can easily receive serious cases transferred from lower levels.

This area also has high traffic density, with many potential traffic accident risks, with serious injuries.

In addition, the hospital regularly receives many types of diseases such as stroke, acute coronary artery disease, obstetric and pediatric emergencies, outpatient emergencies, and cancer screening.

Therefore, the City's health sector is oriented to develop Cu Chi Regional General Hospital into a complete Grade 1 general hospital, striving to become a regional trauma emergency center and a specialized stroke center with strong capacity and expertise.

In order to support and improve professional capacity in accordance with the above development orientation when putting the new facility into operation, Cu Chi Regional General Hospital receives comprehensive support from Military Hospital 175, specialized support from 7 end-line hospitals of the city (People's Hospital 115, Children's Hospital 1, Tu Du, Oncology, People's Hospital Gia Dinh, Pham Ngoc Thach, Orthopedics and Trauma) and Emergency Center 115.

"The signing ceremony marks an important turning point for Cu Chi Regional General Hospital as the new facility is about to come into operation.

Although the work ahead still has many difficulties, the leadership and all staff of the hospital promise to build the hospital to develop more and more, improve the quality of medical examination and treatment, and strive to become a complete grade 1 general hospital with a trauma emergency center as soon as possible," Mr. Phuong pledged.
