On the same afternoon, Buon Ma Thuot University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital held a ceremony to celebrate the 68th anniversary of Vietnamese Doctors' Day on February 27 and the 1st anniversary of the hospital's founding.

Speaking at the conference, Specialist Doctor II Vo Minh Thanh, Director of Buon Ma Thuot University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital shared: Buon Ma Thuot University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital officially came into operation on February 16, 2022, is one of the first hospitals in the region to operate under the Institute - School model, developing in the direction of providing medical services, scientific research and training to develop future medical human resources.

After one year of operation, with the consensus and efforts of the medical staff, doctors, workers and employees, Buon Ma Thuot University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital has gradually built a certain position in the hearts of people in the Central Highlands region.

Up to now, Buon Ma Thuot University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital has examined and treated more than 150,000 patients, including health insurance and services, performed 21,473 procedures and 6,419 surgeries, including using some special techniques such as: Coronary artery angiography, dilation and stent placement; laparoscopic cholecystectomy; lumbar spine artificial disc replacement surgery; percutaneous spinal screw fixation; vertebral body reconstruction with biological cement injection through the coil; total hip and knee replacement surgery; percutaneous nephrolithotomy under ultrasound guidance; in vitro fertilization... These are all advanced techniques that require experience and expertise of doctors, especially a system of modern equipment to support effective treatment.

In addition, as a scientific bridge, in 2022, Buon Ma Thuot University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital successfully organized 8 scientific seminars; 11 scientific activities; 3 training programs. At the same time, the hospital has promoted remote medical examination and treatment and international cooperation through comprehensive cooperation with Hanoi Medical University Hospital; Nerves Hospital - Republic of France and Kaohsiung Medical University of Taiwan.

In addition to focusing on hospital development, Buon Ma Thuot University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital also focuses on social work to take care of community health. In 2022, the hospital organized medical examinations and treatment, and provided free medicine to more than 600 people in difficult circumstances in Ea Tul commune, Cu M'gar district; examined, consulted, and provided free medicine to about 500 people and presented 100 gifts to poor households in Cu Kuin district, Dak Lak province. Implementing the community project "For a Vietnam without worries about cancer", the hospital screened 50 people at risk for cancer, worth 300 million VND...
