The secret to "beating stress" of the top-scoring female student in the humanities/social sciences group.

With a relaxed mindset and a passion for discovering knowledge, Le Khanh Nguyen (born in 2007, Le Thanh Tong High School for the Gifted, Da Nang) achieved perfect scores in History and Geography and a 9.5 in Literature.

Le Khanh Nguyen achieved a total score of 29.5 - the top scorer in the C00 group in Da Nang City.

"At 8 o'clock, I quickly logged into the system to check my scores. I checked three times to be sure. And then I was overwhelmed when I found out I had a total of 29.5 points. Even more surprising was that I became the top student in the C00 group in Da Nang City. I think this result is both luck and the reward for my continuous efforts. Actually, it all lies in my 'family secret study method'," Khánh Nguyên recalled.

Learn with a positive attitude.

Nguyen harbored a dream of dedicating himself to literature at the Da Nang Teacher Training College.

Despite being a literature major with outstanding achievements and excelling in the subject, few people know that Nguyen was once an average student in this very subject.

Nguyen shared that during her elementary school years, she didn't enjoy literature. But after being praised by her fifth-grade teacher, Nguyen "broke out of her shell," shed her self-doubt, and began to develop an interest in literature. "Sometimes, a simple word of encouragement is enough to change for a better future," Nguyen said.

From then on, the little girl became passionate about reading and studying literature with a positive attitude. Thanks to literature, she became more open-minded, lived closer to nature, loved her homeland, and gained a deeper understanding of herself and life.

Nguyen approached History and Geography with a special interest in people and the world around him. Thanks to his passion for sociology, Nguyen proactively learned and researched materials, thereby building a solid foundation of knowledge and confidently conquering the 2025 high school graduation exam with impressive scores.

"There are times when I feel pressured by important exams, difficult assignments, etc., and I choose to go to sleep to beat the stress or read children's books to soothe my soul. I have to heal my chaotic inner world of emotions before opening my heart to receive knowledge. Thanks to that, I absorb knowledge deeply and understand the essence of the problem," Nguyen confided.

The "3-stage" learning method

Nguyen embraced knowledge with a relaxed mindset and employed a scientific , systematic learning method, which resulted in high achievements.

Initially, she gathered knowledge, building a rich and interesting foundation of information to serve her subjects and field of study. Instead of storing information visually, Nguyen memorized it through sound by attentively listening to lectures, noting down keywords, main points, and insightful quotes, and recording the lesson data in class to listen to again later.

After accumulating a vast amount of knowledge, Khanh Nguyen synthesizes and analyzes the data, selects keywords, and reflects on the essence of the problem.

For Literature, I have a solid grasp of literary theory. For History, I categorize the basic content (including events, context, causes, and significance) and summarize common mistakes. As for Geography, a rather "challenging" subject for Nguyen, I engage with knowledge from multiple perspectives: in class, online, and from my own experiences with local landmarks and culture…

And the final stage is practicing exam questions and writing. My sources of questions come from teachers, friends, and the internet, mainly sample exam questions from various provinces and cities this year. Nguyen believes that practicing exam questions helps him not only acquire diverse knowledge but also develop the ability to connect and synthesize the knowledge he has received. From there, he can clearly assess his strengths and weaknesses to overcome them and further improve.

A happy family that provides a supportive environment for a child's education is the fundamental foundation for a young girl to acquire knowledge comprehensively.

Expressing her happiness at her daughter's high achievements, Ms. Vuong Thi Hong Hanh (Khanh Nguyen's mother) shared: "My family is very happy that our daughter's efforts have been rewarded. I understand that she is a child who loves freedom and comfort, so her parents always try to provide her with the best resources for her studies, especially creating a happy family atmosphere without putting pressure on her regarding grades and achievements."
