Reporting to the Provincial Party Secretary and the provincial working delegation, Professor, Dr. Thai Van Thanh - Director of the Department of Education and Training said: In the 2024 - 2025 school year, the province's comprehensive education quality continues to be among the top in the country; the 2025 high school graduation exam results ranked first among 34 provinces/cities. The Education sector has advised the province to issue many policies and mechanisms to develop education in the area. The work of building national standard schools and learning societies has made steady progress, expected to reach over 80% of standard schools by the end of 2025; universal education is maintained sustainably. Educational innovation is promoted, many pioneering models are effectively implemented such as "family - school - society" coordination, high-quality key schools, new boarding ethnic minority general education...

Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Khac Than said that in recent times, many policies and guidelines for education and training have continued to be implemented, creating new momentum for the development of education and training, especially the Politburo issued Resolution No. 71-NQ/TW, dated August 22, 2025 on breakthroughs in education and training development. The Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee emphasized that this is an important political foundation, an extremely favorable condition for the education sector to develop in the coming time, so the education and training sector needs to thoroughly organize, strictly implement, and develop a specific implementation plan throughout the sector.
In addition, the Education and Training sector continues to advise on investment in facilities, especially focused and key investments to ensure efficiency; care for the material and spiritual life of the teaching staff, especially teachers working in remote areas. Complete the construction of boarding schools for ethnic minorities according to the set plan.
Along with that, organize training and retraining of teachers to improve their qualifications. In the context of the country's breakthrough and transformation, it requires the education sector and teachers to innovate their thinking, teaching methods, and apply digital technology to meet the requirements.
At the same time, pay attention to developing comprehensive education for students. Students must have skills, patriotism, intelligence, enthusiasm, dedication, creativity and innovation.
Regarding the local shortage of teachers, the Provincial Party Secretary requested the Education sector to have a recruitment plan, paying special attention to teachers in remote areas. The Education sector also needs to have a plan to regulate teachers in areas with surplus or shortage of teachers; adjust to ensure a reasonable teacher structure in schools. The Education sector needs to pay attention and share the difficulties of schools and teachers in remote areas.
Nghe An has great potential in terms of labor resources, the Education sector must develop plans and strategies to train citizens and workers with high qualifications and skills to meet the needs of businesses. The Education and Training sector must take the lead in implementing Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation.
The head of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee emphasized that the provincial leaders always pay attention to the development of education in the province.

The province currently has 1,506 kindergartens, primary schools, junior high schools, and high schools; 19 vocational education and continuing education centers; 01 continuing education and career guidance center; 01 provincial continuing education center and 412 community learning centers.
