Rain combined with flooding of lakes in recent times has caused many areas of people's crops to be submerged in water.

According to monitoring results on November 24, the lake's water level exceeded 44m, equivalent to nearly 30 million m³, forcing the operating unit to regulate the flow to ensure the safety of the project during the rainy season.

The expected flood discharge flow ranges from 4 – 24m³/s, and will be flexibly adjusted depending on weather developments.

Authorities warn of the risk of impact on residential areas along the Dinh River, especially:

- Right bank of Dinh River: Chau Pha commune, Nghia Thanh commune, Tan Thanh ward and Long Huong ward.

- Left bank of Dinh River: Tam Long ward and Ba Ria ward.

Local authorities are required to urgently notify people, instruct them to proactively move assets and livestock out of dangerous areas and limit movement and activities in the downstream area of the lake during the flood discharge period.
