The Vietnam News Agency's permanent office in Quang Tri has done a good job of comprehensively disseminating information about Quang Tri province. Specifically, the agency regularly publishes news, articles, photos, and video clips about the locality's strengths such as: attracting investment in wind power, solar power, gas power, seaports, tourism, high-tech agriculture , processing industry, transport infrastructure, highways, airports, coal imports, etc.; and has provided many counter-arguments that have attracted the attention of local public opinion. The agency has always excellently completed assigned tasks in professional work and won many press awards at all levels, notably in the 2020-2025 period, winning 2 C prizes - National Press Awards.
On behalf of the provincial leaders, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Long Hai acknowledged and highly appreciated the achievements of the Vietnam News Agency Resident Office in Quang Tri, notably the good implementation of information and propaganda work in accordance with the province's policies, timely, accurate and effective reflection of issues of social concern; many high-quality press works, well meeting the needs of all classes of people; many positive contributions to the socio-economic development, national defense and security of the province. At the same time, he congratulated the agency for having many press works winning high prizes at press awards at all levels, especially winning the B prize - the 8th Quang Tri Press Award in 2024 and winning the C prize - the 19th National Press Award in 2024.
The Provincial Party Secretary hopes that the Vietnam News Agency Resident Office in Quang Tri will promote the achieved results to continue to build the agency to develop more and more and achieve more new successes, especially building a united, dynamic, creative collective and accompanying the province in organizing important events and activities with many positive and effective contributions; pay attention to building a team of journalists to improve their professional qualifications, skills, political courage and not be afraid of danger, hardship, always be dynamic, creative and have many innovations in their work to have many high-quality press works, meet the needs of the people and participate in press awards with high results.
On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Long Hai presented flowers and sent best wishes to the staff and reporters of the Vietnam News Agency's Resident Office in Quang Tri and the journalists and reporters of the Vietnam News Agency who have worked in Quang Tri.

Visiting the family of martyr journalist Truong Chi Cong, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Long Hai respectfully offered incense in memory and expressed gratitude to martyr journalist Truong Chi Cong for his dedication and sacrifice to the glorious revolutionary cause, for the independence and freedom of the nation, the happiness of the people, contributing to further embellishing the precious tradition of Vietnam's revolutionary press.
After the Communist Party of Vietnam was born, the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee directly led and managed many major newspapers in each revolutionary period, associated with journalistic examples who were also outstanding leaders of the Party, including journalist Truong Chi Cong.
Mr. Truong Chi Cong held the position of Secretary of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee from 1954 to 1965 and Editor-in-Chief of the Cuu Nuoc Newspaper. During the long years of resistance, journalist Truong Chi Cong and many other journalists held both pens and guns, ready to sacrifice for the mission of revolutionary propaganda.
These are typical examples of journalism and revolutionary activities with many important contributions in many aspects for today's generation of journalists to remember, pay tribute with emotion, pride and constantly strive to improve their professional qualifications and skills, continuing the path of revolutionary journalism left by their ancestors.
