Accordingly, the Cau Da Villa relic was assigned by the Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee to the Department of Culture and Sports , Nha Trang City People's Committee, Khanh Hoa Provincial Monument Conservation Center, and Vinh Nguyen Ward People's Committee within the scope of their duties and powers to carry out state management in accordance with the provisions of the law on cultural heritage and other relevant regulations.

Khanh Ha Investment Joint Stock Company is responsible for coordinating with relevant agencies, units and localities in preserving and promoting the value of the Da Bridge Villa relic according to regulations.

Until now, Cau Da Villa relic has been ranked.

According to the leader of Khanh Hoa Province's Monument Conservation Center, the Cau Da Villa area was previously only listed as a relic, but has now been officially ranked as a provincial relic in the category of architectural and artistic relics for 5 ancient villas.

Mr. Nguyen Van Nhuan - Director of Khanh Hoa Department of Culture and Sports - said that previously, Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee requested the department to prepare a dossier to recognize the ranking of relics for the above 5 villas in accordance with regulations; prepare a dossier to propose the investment policy for the project to restore and embellish the 5 Cau Da villas.

"After the Cau Da Villa area is ranked as a provincial relic, the Department will conduct a survey, invite experts to evaluate, estimate the investment cost and submit it to the People's Council for approval of the investment policy.

Regarding the artifacts at Cau Da villa area, the enterprise has completed the handover procedures to the provincial relic conservation center. After the project is restored and embellished, it will be put back into operation," said Mr. Nhuan.

These 5 ancient villas, located on Canh Long mountain overlooking Nha Trang bay, used to be visited by many tourists.

At the end of 2013, Khanh Hoa province handed over 13.6 hectares of land (including 8.9 hectares of Cau Da Villa relic and Canh Long mountain; the remaining area is the sea surface of the national scenic spot Nha Trang Bay) to Khanh Ha Investment Joint Stock Company to carry out the business project of Bao Dai resort Nha Trang.

The project's goal at that time was to build this place into a villa area, 5-star hotel, hotel for rent, villas for long-term rent or sale.

The 5 ancient villas above are also owned by the Bao Dai resort Nha Trang project and the enterprise will renovate them for rent, serving tourism business.

The project was then delayed, the interior was still unfinished, some constructions were built in the rough, then stopped. In addition, during the implementation process, violations occurred at the project, the authorities punished and suspended construction since 2017.

By 2023, Khanh Hoa province had reclaimed land in this project after requesting to return 5 villas in the relic site, and the enterprise agreed.

Currently, the villas here are in a state of "closed doors, locked locks", increasingly degraded, and the grounds are not cared for.

Built in 1923

Cau Da Villa Area consists of 5 ancient houses named Xuong Rong, Bong Su, Bong Giay, Phuong Vi and Cay Bang, built by the French in 1923, following the classical French architectural art, harmoniously combined with the art of flower gardens.

From around 1940 to 1945, King Bao Dai and Queen Nam Phuong and their family often came to this relic site for relaxation and entertainment, so it was also called Bao Dai Tower.

In 2005, the Minister of Culture and Information (now the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) decided to recognize Nha Trang Bay as a national scenic spot.

In which, the entire provincial relic site at Cau Da Villa is located within the boundary of the Nha Trang Bay National Scenic Relic.
