On the morning of August 4, in Thong Nhat Ward, Gia Lai Province, Army Corps 15 held the 9th Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term. Attending and giving a speech at the Congress was Senior Lieutenant General Huynh Chien Thang, member of the Party Central Committee, member of the Central Military Commission, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army.

The Congress was attended by 200 delegates, representing 2,590 party members of the entire Party Committee of the Army Corps. The report for the 2020-2025 term said that the Party Committee of Army Corps 15 has led the unit to successfully complete its political tasks, achieving many important results in socio -economic development, population building, potential, national defense and security posture in the strategic area of the Central Highlands and localities where the unit is stationed and performing its tasks.

The Corps is stationed and carries out its missions in 271 villages, mainly in remote, border areas, ethnic minority areas, and religious areas in three provinces: Gia Lai, Quang Ngai, and Quang Tri. At the same time, it carries out its missions in 12 villages, 4 districts of Attapeu province, Laos, and 8 communes in 3 districts of Ratanakiri province, Cambodia.

To successfully complete the task of socio-economic development associated with national defense and security, the Party Committee of the Corps has led and implemented synchronously, drastically and effectively solutions to build potential and posture in local defense areas, especially political and spiritual potential and create " people's hearts posture " and fighting posture of villages and communes.

Residential clusters and points were built like fortresses and defense lines, together with local Party committees, authorities and armed forces to form a continuous defense formation on the country's border.
