Fatherly Love is an excerpt from a reformed opera by author To Thien Kieu, used by Binh Tinh to participate in the second competition night of the Sao Noi Ngoi 2016 contest.

Binh Tinh remembers the support of Kim Tu Long

The excerpt is about 10 minutes long with the assistance of Kim Tu Long. Binh Tinh is Hieu, the daughter of a poor father played by Kim Tu Long.

Because his family was in dire straits, his mother was seriously ill and needed money for treatment, so Hieu secretly dropped out of school to sell lottery tickets. Hieu accidentally met his father, his father was angry because he thought his daughter was playing around, so he couldn't help but slap his daughter.

The excerpt brought tears to the eyes of the audience and the judges. The performance received a perfect score of 10 from all the judges in the competition night. That year, Binh Tinh also won the championship of the program Sao Noi Ngoi .

After 9 years, father and son Kim Tu Long and Binh Tinh decided to recreate the father-son relationship on stage. Binh Tinh "told" that while it was only on the practice floor, father Kim Tu Long acted like it was real.

Especially the scene of slapping the girl. "Three slaps made me want to see God. Suddenly I felt a pain under my chin, I touched it and found it was bleeding.

It turned out that the third person was wearing a ring, so I was… caught in the act!" - Binh Tinh said with a grimace.

But she wasn't angry with Long's father because she knew he was in the mood. "He was shocked when he saw me in pain and said he tried his best to control himself, but at that moment, he didn't know why he was too strong" - Binh Tinh said.

She added that while practicing the performance, she really remembered the beautiful memories of 9 years ago, and the dedicated care and support of her father Kim Tu Long for each of her performances.

Review San Hau

In the program, in addition to Father and Son Love , the audience also had the opportunity to review excerpts from the play San Hau . This is a traditional opera staged by young director Quynh Anh, supported by Kim Tu Long, to be performed in August 2025.

The play was very popular with the audience, especially the performance of Dong Kim Lan (Kim Tu Long) and Khuong Linh Ta (Trong Nhan) in the scene of protecting the young king and bringing him back to San Hau citadel.

On the night of November 15, this special performance will be performed again for the audience. Besides San Hau , young actor Trong Nhan was also given the opportunity by Kim Tu Long to participate in the show Moc Que Anh Se Duyen .

Artist Trinh Trinh, Kim Tu Long's wife, will also appear as Ho Nguyet Co, a character considered Trinh Trinh's forte. Previously, Trinh Trinh played this character in the experimental cai luong play Nguoi Cao . When performing at the Ky Yen festival, she also played Ho Nguyet Co many times.

The flower lantern night also had the participation of artists Bach Long, Minh Nhi, Xuan Truc, Huu Quoc, Hoang Quoc Thanh, Phuong Cam Ngoc, Quynh Anh, Le Hau, Maika, Khanh Tam, Bao Bao...
