BHG - On the morning of June 26th, candidates in our province officially began the first day of the 2025 High School Graduation Examination. Observations at the examination centers showed a serious, safe, and compliant atmosphere. The students entered the examination rooms with confidence, calmness, and determination to achieve the best possible results.

At the exam center at Le Hong Phong High School (Ha Giang city), from 6 am, police officers, youth union members, medical staff , and security guards were present to guide candidates into the exam rooms, assist with traffic flow, ensure security and order, and promptly handle any unexpected situations. The weather on the first day was mild and favorable, contributing to a more stable mindset for the candidates. Outside the school gate, many parents waited for their children, their eyes following each step as they entered the exam center. Ms. Bui Thi Lien, from Group 12, Minh Khai Ward, shared: “I hope my child will be confident and do well on the exam; the whole family is encouraging her to try her best, because this is a turning point, a major milestone in her student life.”

The candidates shared their joy after finishing the Literature exam.

Among the subjects in the 2025 High School Graduation Exam, Literature, based on the 2018 general education curriculum, was the most anticipated because it was the first year that textbook materials were not used. After 120 minutes of testing, many candidates left the exam room with radiant faces and a sigh of relief. Many candidates commented that the exam was appropriate to their abilities. The reading comprehension section was relatively easy, while the writing section showed clear differentiation, requiring candidates not only to have a solid grasp of knowledge but also to be able to apply it in practice and have a deep understanding of social issues.

Bui Nhu Quynh, a student from Le Hong Phong High School, shared: “I found this year's exam structure quite good, allowing candidates to freely express their personal opinions. In particular, the social commentary question on the theme "Every homeland is the sky of the Fatherland" was very meaningful and relevant in the context of the country undergoing significant changes, especially the merger of provinces and cities. This theme evoked love for the homeland and the spirit of national unity in every Vietnamese person. The remaining reading comprehension and essay sections had open-ended questions that made it easy for candidates to score points if they had a solid grasp of basic knowledge. I did quite well on the exam and hope to achieve my desired score.”

During this year's exam season, the spirit of volunteering under the "Supporting the Exam Season" initiative continued to spread strongly in various localities. Youth volunteer teams arrived early at exam sites to assist candidates with even the smallest tasks, such as providing drinking water, milk, pastries, and hand fans. In addition, many practical and meaningful programs and activities were implemented. Notably, the Youth Union of Quan Ba District connected with, appealed for, and mobilized sponsorships to provide 170 free lunch meals on June 26th for all candidates taking the exam at Quyet Tien High School; the Youth Union of Quang Binh District, high schools in the area, and parent associations arranged free accommodation and meals for over 120 students. Furthermore, some areas provided accommodation and transportation for candidates living far from the exam sites.

Comrade Tran Duc Minh, Secretary of the Youth Union of Minh Khai Ward (Ha Giang City), said: From June 25th to 27th, the Ward Youth Union mobilized more than 20 members and young people to work in shifts at the Le Hong Phong High School examination site to support candidates and parents. They participated in providing water, looking after candidates' belongings, etc.

According to the Department of Education and Training's report, 7,405 out of 7,479 candidates took the Literature exam on the morning of June 26th, achieving a participation rate of 99%. This included 25 disabled candidates who were exempted from the exam, and 49 candidates who were absent for unknown reasons, mostly independent candidates. There were no violations of exam regulations by invigilators, supervisors, or candidates. After the Literature exam, students will proceed to other subjects. The serious, responsible work and close coordination between all levels and sectors are key factors in ensuring the exam is conducted safely and effectively.
